    Seoul Plaza Hotel

    by

I really enjoyed my stay at the Seoul Plaza Hotel. Service was great and rooms were nice and clean. Restaurants are good. Fitness center could be better. Ask for a room facing City Hall and at a higher floor and you'll get an amazing view.

Unique Quality: The Seoul Plaza Hotel is one of the nicer hotels in Seoul. The best thing about the Seoul Plaza Hotel is its location. Located directly in front of the City Hall, it is at the center of downtown Seoul. Here you can really get a feeling of the fast paced Seoul lifestyle. Subway access is a few yards from the hotel and several landmarks are within walking distance from the hotel.

Deoksugung Palace

by seoulsnapshots

Deoksugung Palace is across the street from City Hall and the Seoul Plaza Hotel. Admission is 1,000 Won and its a real peaceful place amidst the high rise buildings and busy Seoul atmosphere. It's quite a scene to look at such old structures with new high rise buildings in the background.

Sam Gae Tang restaurants...

by Pete_Thera

Sam Gae Tang restaurants behind Seoul Plaza Hotel Koreans believe this soup is very good for health. It is made of whole chicken (a choice of white or black chiken) stuffed with glutinous rice and a whole big ginseng root, steamed together and served with a small glass of korean ginseng liquor. Roast chicken is also served in most Sam Gae Tang restaurants.

Hey Bill. I havn't stayed in any hotels in Downtown Seoul - but I so work across the road from City Hall. The big Hotels around that area are the Koreana, Seoul Plaza and also Lotte Hotel.
You may get a few hints from this website.
