European Business Hotel

This is a 4 star hotel in the center of Daegu City. As you would expect, the rooms are perfect.

Unique Quality: Good rooms, good breakfast, good Korean Restaurant and a Jazz bar in the basement! This makes for a very pleasent place to spend a few nights in Daegu City.

how's the nightlife?

by Ags84

A friend and I are traveling to South Korea to teach English, and one of the possible jobs is in Daegu. I was just wondering what the nightlife/bar scene was like,if there were many foreigners in the area, and if there is anything interesting to see and do?

Thanks!

Nightlife is alright, there's a few foriegn bars and nightclubs here that can be a lot of fun. Nothing compared to Seoul... but far better than Busan and other places.

Nightlife is decent in Daegu. Clubs are always packed friday and saturday until 6am. Drinks are reasonable (5.00 for a jack&coke/other cocktails).

The foreign bars are good if you know people. If not then you'll probably slit your wrists within 30 minutes. It'll bore you to death.

My personal opinion on Seoul is that the clubs are way too packed (To the point of having to body surf to get out) but check it out nonetheless. Busan is fun, a little better than Daegu. Plus the beach just adds to the fun.
