World Cup Frenzy
I think it was july when Korea played in the World Cup. I've never seen a population come together for a sports team before. The biggest pedestrian intersection I have ever seen in my entire life was packed to overflowing with Koreans dressed in red, wearing glowing red horns, clapping noisemakers and setting off fireworks. The game was shown on three massive television screens which for the rest of the year broadcasted the same five-minute cycle of commercials over and over again. The people went crazy every time Korea made a good play. I've never seen such chearing. Here are some of the photos I took of the festivities. Enjoy!
