Kandy it's a great place to have real ayurvedic massages. We found a great ayurvedic clinic who's run by a former sri lankan olympic games weight-lifting gold medal. The man is massive but if you ar lucky to have him massage you, you'll be in heaven.
A massage followed by a steam bath costs about 2o dollars. The clinic is located next to the Hotel Suisse and its called Ayurvedic traditional Panchekkarma.
Embekke Devale
by yumiyun
Approximately 8 miles from town of Kandy is an enticing wood carving temple of Embekke Devale dating from the 14th century. Elaborate carvings on wooden pillars describing the legendary origin of the devale. The epic of Embekke Varnanawa by Delgahagoda Mudiyanse has it that one of the King Wickrema Bahu II’s consorts named Henakanda Biso Bandara, in association with a drummer, named as Rangama, as told in a miraculous dream is supposed to have built this Devale dedicated to God Kataragama.

Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth)
by thelittlevoice
It's a temple which houses Sri Lanka's most important religious relic - the sacred tooth of Buddha. There are 3 daily ceremonies[6am, noon(I can't remember what time exactly), 6pm] of homage to the Tooth Relic, each attracting white-clad pilgrims carrying lotus blossoms and frangipani.
The relic is open for the public to see only once every 6 years. As you can see from the picture, there's a Chedi that covers the Relic. We Thai people are lucky enough to see this close.
Temple of the Tooth

A serene Buddhist temple. You can learn more about the story of the Buddha's tooth that is kept there in the new shrine.
A quiet and spacious place that calms the mind.
You can also take a picture with the elephant outside the temple.
