Room with a view

Impeccably clean, the inn is uphill and rooms 3,5,7 and 9 have a view of the lake.

Stayed in the topmost Room 9 with a wonderful view of the lake on clear days.

The buffet dinner featuring Sri Lanka dishes costs Rs350 per person. It's a much toned down version in terms of spiciness. The double room costs Rs1750, breakfast at Rs200 each. Add the 10% + 10% service charge and tax.

If you're going to or coming from Nuwara Eliya, there seem to be some kind of connection between the owners of the Glendower and Sharon Inn. They'll recommend each other and you can possibly get each other to book you a room before you arrive in town.

The disadvantage of staying there is that it's upslope and if you're feeling tired or trapped in the rain, you're most likely to have to tuk tuk upslope.

Unique Quality: Clean and comfortable.

They also organise day trips to the cultural triangle and nearby elephant sanctuary.
