Very well recommended mountview cottage in nuwara eliya,Like my home ,friendly staff ,srilankan home foods, very clean and simple rooms with very silent environment
Good view (around greenery environment)mountains ,tea states and farming area

We wanted to visit Sri Lanka again but this time away from the established tourist areas that brought us far too much unwanted attention from everybody trying to sell us everything (we all need to make a living but some of these guys just crowd you from the minute you walk out of the hotel gates)
We were lucky enough to find the perfect place in the Blue Sapphire hotel near Beruwela (kalamadora, sure I have spelt that wrong but should google ok) Set in a quiet urban area this walled colonial style building stands in a beautiful manicured garden with a fantastic pool and outdoor eating area.
Our room was just great, light airy with a balcony overlooking the garden. The bed was the most comfortable I have found in any hotel and the air con fully adjustable.
The owner Mandu and his staff bend over backwards to make you feel at home but do so without crowding you.
Sri Lanka is an astonishing country, beautiful countryside, beaches and incredible wild life make it a must visit location. Stay at the Blue Sapphire and you will have found yourself the holiday of a lifetime. We will be back there for sure.
The peacefullness is outstanding here. If you are eating at the hotel order by late afternoon and the food will be brought directly from the market that evening.
The Seafood is outstanding.
I suspect the fruit juice at breakfast was still on the tree the evening before it was served. The hotel has its own mini bus that collected us from Colombo airport at no extra charge.
This place was amazing! A wonderful visit and loved everything about the room. Very clean and everything was more than perfect. Better than what I expected. Food was awesome. I’m already planning another trip back :) Everyone was so nice and helpful! Thanks for a great vacation. God Bless Maalu Maalu :)

Newly refurbished hotel, with modern, clean rooms. I was very happy with the service and value for money.
Can walk to Galle Face Green.
During your stay in Sri Lanka you will be able to experience a diverse range of accommodation starting from 5 star & boutique hotels to homes stays to suite your budget
During our stay In Sri Lanka, The best place we stayed was SUN TOP INN ELLA.
Charming small guest house run by young couple.
Get the feeling of own home. warm welcomming, spacious rooms, long beds, hot water large open sitting is excellent.
The most important thing is it'svery clean.huge breakfast. And they serve very fresh homely coocked food for your dinner as well.
the lady Niranjala cooks very traditional sri lankan dishes too. both of them have very good knowledge of about the area and provide maps to walk around.
also arrange tours.
Free wi-fi internet. They offer big discount for their residence guests for the Ayurvedic body massage at their own place.
In short and sweet its a excellent place to stay.

Ruwala Resortis located on the west coast of Sri Lanka hidden amongst the palm trees. We stayed in a Speacious challet close to the lagoon and the sunset was simply amazing. The atmosphere is quiet and calm and the food divine. It ‘s a wonderful place for couples to chill out and enjoy their surroundings. Service is really friendly but at the same time gives you enough privacy to enjoy your stay. They offer tours to Dolphin watching as well. Highly recommended Without a doubt.
open-sided restaurant, Local, as well as international food is served and the kitchen caters to a wide array of palates. BBQs are also served at the restaurant and are prepared with fresh sea-food purchased directly from the local fisherman and fresh vegetables from the farmers of the area. Local beer, juices and soft-drinks are served and guests are welcome to bring their own liquor, friendly and efficient staff to see to every need.
Ruwala’s ‘Activity Center’ is fully equipped for kayaking, boating, fishing, camping and even wall climbing. Safety gear, including life jackets and harnesses, are available and recommended.

Our stay duration was just two days, but the time spent in the hotel was worth the money. We got a good discount on the published rates through our travel agency, more than 20% down !
The location, though quiet, was quite close to the Kandy City itself.
The rooms are quite comfortable, and the service to say the least was on time and friendly.
The food we got piping hot, and was quite wholesome.
Altogether we can recommend this hotel for future travelers, even for a one night stop or as a base to explore Kandy and the Cultural Triangle.
The staff were very much outgoing and always had a smile for us. The views from the rooms were great, overlooking the Lake and part of the city.
Even the drivers are treated well here.

Our stay was just a couple of nights, but it was excellent. The rooms are very comfortable, the Restaurant and Room Service was very good. The food was tasty and with lots of variety. The Ayurvedic massage was really good. on top of all that, the staff are very friendly and helpful, with beautiful smiles.
We booked through a company (website and mail address below) and got a 20% discount, which we would not have got if we booked directly.
Yes, we fully recommend this hotel, and if you want to it is a good base to explore the Cultural Triangle too.
The Infinity Pool is a long one, and flanked on one side by a Rice Field. The Entrance is through a Mango Orchard, and very relaxing atmosphere. The gardens/grounds are utilized to grow some flowers, but mostly fruits, and one can see Banana, Pineapple and Papaya plants and trees as well as several types of vegetables and herbs (all used for our consumption).
If one goes straight down the property, you cross the parameters and come to a Bubbling stream, cool under the giant and old huge Kumbuk Trees, with lots of huge Giant Vines hanging down and and precarious looking makeshift bridge which the villagers use to cross the stream, really enchanting place and cool too.
