Nice Budget Hotel in Anuradhapura
This hotel offers comfortable rooms with queen-size bed, hot shower, satellite television, ceiling fan, and mosquito net for Rs 1300, or smaller rooms without TV (but still with hot water) for Rs 1000. AC rooms are also available. The terrace restaurant is a bit pricy (Rs 500 for a full meal), but the staff are friendly. Bike rental costs Rs 250 per day, while internet is Rs 6 per minute after 9pm, Rs 10 before (internet is only Rs 1 per minute near the New Bus Station). The hotel is also happy to arrange tuk-tuks and guided tours.

Great guesthouse in Anuradhapura
Clean rooms, good food, great service. They now have an internet cafe on site and rented us bicycles for the following day.
When you set up a reservation with them, it makes sense to ask about number of beds. Our "double room" had four double beds - two pushed together on each wall. It was all they had so we didn't change. Our friend's single room had one double bed.
(Rs 10,197 included 2 rooms for 2 nights, 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners, and 3 bicycles for one day)
