Dream Cafe: Dream Cafe Accomodation
The rooms above the Dream Cafe have been elegantly furnished to make your stay a relaxing and comfortable one. The wood flooring and paneling together with the high quality linen certainly give this guest house a boutique feel. There are two large couches which can be used as additional beds situated in a way that when you draw the curtains you have spectacular views of the Ella Gap and tea plantations. The bathrooms are new and have all the modern facilities for you to enjoy including lovely hot water.
The restaurant has a garden terraced area for meals and is tastefully lit with fairy lights.
Laundry facilities are available on request and they have good wifi facilities as well as an internet terminal for customer use.
The location is on the main road which makes it easy to stay out a bit later at night as tuktuks are scarce to find after 10pm and walking up a hill in the dark does not appeal.
The staff are friendly and helpful.

Aurora Holiday Bungalow: Best Budget Accomodation
Mr Nadun the owner of Ella Village Restaurant has 4 bungalow style rooms in a plot adjacent to the restaurant. The rooms are newly built and wonderfully clean and comfortable. There are 2 front porch chairs where you can relax and listen to the birds chirping in the garden.
The benefits of being in the heart of the town is when all the tuktuks go home for the evening you will not be left stranded having to walk up a hill in the dark. The rooms however have a lovely tranquil feel to them with a small garden area surrounded by forest trees.
The owner serves delicious homecooked breakfasts and fresh coffee from beans, his restaurant is legendary for rice and curry. He is truely a hospitable man and kind family man.

Rock View Guest House, Ella: Avoid Rock View Guesthouse in Ella
Do not stay here at all costs. Whilst staying here my phone was stolen from our bedroom whilst we were out walking. The room was looked and was still locked when we returned. The staff turned from interested and chatty to aggressive and unpleasant when we realised they had stolen my phone. I would not be surprised if the guesthose is closed down by the poliuce now as they told us this is the third time a theft like this has happened at rock view recently. Such a shame as Ella was otherwise a great place to go.

Ella Guest Inn: best in ella!!!
Ella guest inn is such a lovely place to stay 3 or 4 nights in ella.they are amazing family with lots of kindness.
they have wonderful big privet garden and back yard with rice field.nice view on ella rock!!!
they have free wi-fi,hot water and every thing that you want as traveller.
it's not far away from the city,post office and train station.just 5minuts walk.
finnely must say that they are ready for welcome you!

Sun Top Inn -Ella: you have to be lucky enough
We traveled for four months in Asia. During our stay in Sri Lanka Sun Top Inn was the best place we stayed.It was a small guest house with 3 bed rooms but going to be 7 in soon.
Nice views of ella rock.You can spend long hours by relaxing and reading in the large sitting.
very clean and comfortable rooms.Tasty food.
free Wi-Fi
Everything is perfect there.
Very friendly and helpful owners.actually you have to be lucky enough to get a room there.
Though we came to this place by accidently i highly recommond this place to future travellers.

Sun Top Inn: Best place in Ella.
During our stay in Ella we stayed in a small guest house called Sun Top Inn.
it was the best place we stayed in SL.
Also the Best food in SL.
Rooms are very clean. upstair rooms with comfortable beds and attached bath rooms with hot water.
free Wi-Fi.
In the large sitting area helps to meet the other travelers.
The place isrun by young couple Niranjala & Priyantha.They are very friendly and helpfull.
You will be given area maps and lots of information to walk around.The Ideal place for your stay in Ella.

The Mountain Heavens Hotel: A Real Mountain Heaven
Four of us (my self, my wife and two kids) stayed from Fri 04 Sep 2009 night to Sun 06 morning.
Unique Quality: We really enjoyed the stay there. The location of the hotel, the view, food and service were excellent.

Zion View: Fine Line
there are many fine guest houses with magnificent views. this is not the only one.
if you like privacy and independence this is not the place for you. If you like family around all the time then stay here.
there is a fine line here between professionalism and family.
also do not book tours, transport etc here; there will be axtra charge to proprietor.
book at Dream Cafe in town; reliable and ho;nest.
Unique Quality: good view; but not the only guest house to have such.

ZION VIEW: Best view with Friendly and relaxing stay
on our way to kandy we found this small village Ella we had very pleasant and friendly stay in zion View guesthouse .Its very new and European standard , spacial y long beds . Rooms have balconies with direct view of Ella gap and Ella Rock . every morning we had breakfast on our balcony what a nice next to our balcony we saw monkeys enjoying there breakfast too . we really enjoyed this place and we Highly recommended this place for other travelers who like to enjoy beautiful nature in hill country sri lanka.
