Oasis for your soul and body
The name says it all - it is an oasis in the south of Sri Lanka. If you need to spend some time off the stress and hectic of the world - this is the place to go! All the staff has a big smile on their face and are atentious. I was so sad to leave this place ... it makes you feel like home!
Unique Quality: This hotel is an hotel with it's own Ayurveda center. When you book an Ayurveda treatment package you can eat from the healthy Ayurveda buffet. The renowned doctor Allewattegama prescribes you the treatments and you will be in good hands during your stay. The hotel has a small swimming pool and a huge garden where you can sit in the shadow on one of the sunloungers. At some point you might want to drink a freshly made mango or papaya juice .. and it will be served by the smiling staff.
For sea-swimmers the place is not so recommendable as the sea is very dangerous in Hambantota. Even the locals do not dare to swim there. There are very strong and dangerous currents - but for walks along the endless and lonely beach it is terrific.
