Hi,
I will go to SL in Feb with my family. I am looking for a good hotel in Hikkaduwa to spend a couple of days relaxing.
I need a hotel with a decent swimming pool, large room with usual amenities and facilities and also not too noisy.
Any advice welcome.

are you sure that Hikkaduwa is where you want to be? there are several other more relaxing less noisy places to stay along the coast.

Have to agree with Maxus. Hikkaduwa is not the best place now unlike in the past when you compare with Aluthgama / benthota. I prefer the benthota Beach strech Eden hotel / Riverina / Neptune etc...

In Hikkaduwa try, Amaya Reef, Coral Sands. Hikkaduwa is a bit too quiet these days.
The mentioned hotels in bentota are very good, or drive a bit further to Unawatuna. Unwatuna Beach Resort is nice.

yes, Unawatuna is another good alternative - the beach is better and it doesn't have a main road running through it (the Galle Road wasn't quiet last time I was there).
