Sri Lankan Retreat

Neptune Hotel is part of Aiken Spence Group, and is classed as 3*, Approx 3-4hrs transfer from airport, ( seapalnes can now be arranged ), The welcome you get is unforgettable. All of the staff go beyond helpfulness, Location could not be better, with Beruwala Beach right in front of hotel. Rooms are comfortable, with a/c, swimming pools are very clean, as are the gardens, We got married here in 2001 and would reccomend to someone looking for a holiday with a difference. Fresh flowers on beds everyday, Great food and staff will keep us coming back for more, this was our 4th visit to Neptune Hotel, and many guests return year after year, and it,s not hard to see why.

Unique Quality: The view from 2nd/3rd floor rooms have great sea and pool views, Wing rooms are much larger, with better shower facilities, Suites are avaliable at small cost, Left wing is better for sunsets, But little morning sun. Garden rooms are on main driveway, so little noise, but not much, with New Ayurveda centre located at bottom of drive, All treatments are at a cost, but a little luxury was wonderful. Rooms looked very clean and spacious, with Fish pool in centre. Again on main drive of little noise from main road. Food and restraunt are good, but the Beach Hut, no longer serves at lunch time, (tsunami damaged), at small cost, you can have a 5 course meal in lovley location near beach, with lovely fairly lights, and be waited on on eveing

Our 2nd home

The service at this hotel is outstanding, every member of staff cannot do enough to please you, and make your stay un-forgettable. Classed as 3*, The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard, with your room boy taking care of your every wish. Location is breath-taking, looking out onto 23km of white soft sand, and wonderful warm ocean. Buffet dining area, since tsunami the small snack shack is closed, but food is provided in beach bar area. We would recommend Neptune Hotel, as this our 4th visit, to young and old looking for a different place to stay

Unique Quality: There are 2 pools in hotel grounds, with small slide, cleaned to a high standard , looking into the indian ocean. Most rooms have great view of pool, beach and sea, ask for a wing room on left, and get ready for some amazing sunsets, Large open deck to enjoy a cocktail or two or three, 2 internal bars, one a/c, good reception staff, who will arrange tuk-tuk or taxi for you, and cash office to change travellers cheques.

beach lovers paradise

3 star hotel, rooms are standard, no tv, no hairdyer, very very clean, and staff are very welcoming. good buffet during daytime, also pizza bar, drinks are served 10am-12pm.
eveing meals are very good, all fresh produce.

Unique Quality: wonderful views of beach, and swimming pools, sea not to clear, due to strong current, but no nasty critters in sea.

All inclusive, well almost

An older 3 star "all inclusive" hotel. No TV in the rooms (you're not going there to watch TV!)

The food is very good. Buffets.

Best take a bungalow. Rooms in the main building can be very noisy (staff entrance, aircon from the kitchen, music)
