In its old days as The Lanka Oberoi, this beautiful atrium hotel had a certain elegance, as well as a more or less business character. As the Colombo Plaza,more personal and warm features were added. The again renamed Cinnamon Grand (hopefully a name that will remain for a long time), seems to be the finished product. The hotel stands in 10 acres of greenery, a few yards from the Indian Ocean, on the edge of Colombo's commercial area. A recently added 3-story shopping mall offers airconditioned shopping-sprees.There are two restaurants (one claiming to be Colombos best seafood restaurant),a tealounge, a grill and a pub and coffeeshop. A nice pool and healthclub are ready for the workout addicts
