The Beach Negombo

This hotel is certainly 5 stars!!
the rooms are excellent, the service and staff willingness and politeness is second to none and i have travelled all over the world
Yes they do expect tips especially when you arrive .bags etc............100 rupees seems to be the normal..the when you leave up to you to give what you want to your room cleaner/bar/dining room personnel.
exchange rate at the hotel was good but of course in the town is cheaper
the pool is excellent..............the sun beds very comfortable..........
i was there 2 weeks but was out 4 nights on various trips.............i really had a great time at teh beach being only 40 mins from airport is a blessing due to traffic/their mad driving and the condition of roads........to travel 100 km took 5 hours!! so bear that in mind after 10.5 hours in a plane

the spa very good but a little dear compared to spas elsewhere
