Sleeping in the clouds
I suppose when you're in the tallest place in town the views must be the best, and in indeed they are. However whether your room has the city or sea view, it would be advisable not to look outside at early dawn or dusk because you will see nothing but SMOG.
As the pictures show, the standard room is quite spacious, clean and well-supplied. Now the bad points: the bed mattress is pretty firm; the TV's audio in my room seems to slowly fade in time until it disappears completely (don't bother with the remote's volume control -- there's none!); footsteps can be heard from the upper room; and for my worst opinion, the bath towels had a slight cigarette odor despite being in a non-smoking hotel.
Unique Quality: Though it is essentially configured as a business hotel, most guests here are still tourists. The buffet breakfast has a wide variety and offers Chinese, Japanese and Western cuisine. Many of the viands are changed daily. For hotel guests, a ride on the express elevator to the skydeck is free but non-guests pay a minimal charge. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the nearest MRT (subway) station and has a small department store at the ground floor.
