Great location, not so great food
Stayed in Agora for a week on business. Very good location - a 5minute walk away from the Taipei City Hall MRT station, from Taipei 101 and the shopping malls surrounding it, 2 minutes away from the Mitsukoshi department stores and Eslite bookstore.
The hotel room itself is nice. Internet connection is not wireless, though. Indoor pool, gym - didn't get to use these, though. Very helpful staff.
Not crazy about the food in La Lavande - their Western dishes are very bland. Good selection of Asian dishes (hot pot). Movenpick Swiss ice cream for dessert. Their desserts are okay - the cheesecake, in particular. The Chinese restaurant is better.

No wireless connection
I have visited Taipei in first week of June and stayed in Agora Garden Hotel. It is nice hotel in central Taipei and very close to Taipei 101. Clean and the staff were kind.
But the internet connection was very very slow and there is no wireless access only with cable.
