A decent value
We had a decent stay at the KDM. The first room we were given left a lot to be desired, it appeared dark and dingy with holes in the wall. We asked to switch rooms and the second room was much better. Staff were friendly and the room was quiet, despite the ongoing construction next door. The location was great with the Zhongzio Xinsheng metro stop literally about 10 feet from the entrance. It is also easily accessible from the airport by the Evergeen bus, which stops about a block away. We actually liked the breakfast--it provided a good variety of local and Western foods, although it was a bit odd to be eating chicken nuggets and fries at 8 in the morning. Overall, we would stay at the KDM again if the price was right.

Looking for a budget Hotel in Taipei?
This is a 3-star Hotel located along the main Taipei City spot. I spent 4N in this hotel. Very convenient for those who want to get around the Taipei city. 10-step from the hotel lobby is a MRT station. What you think?
Unique Quality: Never use the facilities before. May not be a good hotel in terms of facilities. Just walk towards the back of this hotel about 50m, there is a 7-elevan.

KDM hotel from airport
Hello. We are going to be visiting Taipei and staying at the KDM Hotel. I was hoping that you could provide me with some information on taking the bus from the airport to this hotel. I understand that the Evergreen bus stops close by, but I was hoping someone could tell me what stop to get off at. Also, does anyone know the frequency of the bus from the airport?

Hi,
Evergreen Bus runs every 15-20 -According to Information.
Get off at Zhongxiao/Xinsheng MRT Stop and walk to Hotel ( Exit 3)

Thank you very much--one more question, I understand we can buy tickets for the bus at the counter at the airport. However, for the journey from the hotel back to the airport, where do we buy tickets---on the bus?

HI Take any bus from across to Taipei Main Station and just after the stop, you will find the Guoguang Bus terminus for the Airport connection:

Bus Station is on Zhongxiao W. Road Sec 1, Between Taipei Main Station Front Mall Exits 8 and 9. Buses Departures start at 5.30 am till 11 pm.
