Baby food in Taipei

by Nachons

I'll be bringing my baby along on the trip and would like to know if I can buy Japanese brand instant Baby foods, specifically Wakodo or Pigeon brand. Are they available easily and where?
Thanks

You can get them in most of the supermarkets here. I know they have Pigeon brand for sure and also Gerber, too. There are a few supermarkets near Taipei 101 and also one inside Taipei 101, you can definitely find them there :)

Travel Tips for Taipei

Get a Map and Wander

by keeweechic

I found just wandering around the streets with a map in hand fascinating. It beat trying to communicate with taxi drivers and I got to see a lot more of the day to day things. I loved all the temples scattered around Taipei. The local people do not mind you going in and taking photos. Through the back streets you can see some amazing things and the people themselves were fascinating.

Wulai - an aboriginal experience

by mim95

Wulai is a small aboriginal village in Taipei County. It features a free public hot spring, beautiful waterfall and aboriginal culture and food.

There are 3 pools in the public hot spring with different temperatures. They are all by the riverside. The hot spring is actually about 86c from the source, so the water temperature is adjusted. You can also enjoy the hot spring in the many hotels in the area.

There is a mini-train running between the main village and the waterfall. Walking there is about 15-20 minutes, and you can enjoy the scenery better than taking the train.

To get to Wulai, take the bus from Hsintien MRT Station. Details below.

Milk Pub

by cinay about Milk Pub

Everything here is WHITE. Small cute & cool place. Gets quite here sometimes because the door use a number lock. Only the ones (or the cool people) who knows the combination can come in. But when it's high...it gets really high. This would be another place to watch starts. But the stars here are the artistic types (Not the pop-music singers)

i thought the best way to...

by mr_dreamer

i thought the best way to visit Taipei is :
Taking MRT transportation at taipei station ,via taipei main station u will conveniently , easily and cheap tour around most of Taipei..
Its basic price start at about US$ 0.55 ,and there are
5 transportation lines u can take anyone..from Taipei city center to Taipei countryside...

the most popular landscape is Tamshui terminal station
..a fantastic small town surrounded by Tamshui river..and the famous Fisherman Wharf over there .. open-air coffee..many special and delicious light repasts..sketch painter...and so on ...
..u also can experience boating from right shore to the other..then return back..that's very cheap and a breeze..

go ahead!!
P.S.>> next time i will complement more pics r connected Taipei..coming >>

Taipei 101 Basement Food Court

by aukahkay about Various food stalls

After visiting the observatory of Taipei 101, head for the humongous basement foodcourt. Give the over-priced fanciful restaurants in the 101 Mall a miss. The food court offers value for money good and fresh food of all varieties. The food court is air-conditioned, spacious, clean and you can be assured of a place to sit even on a working day. Most of the stalls serve Japanese-Chinese fusion cuisine. There are also stalls that serve steaks and pasta. Of course you can get excellent Japanese food - ramen, udon, sushi, sashimi etc. For something more Taiwanese, try the beef noodles.
