Travel Tips for Taipei
The northern city-Taipei-Huahsi Street
Taiwan's first tourist night market
Huahsi Street is lined with dozens of small restaurants serving just about everything that walks or swims.
Bus: Take the 9, 18, 25, 49, 62, 65, 233, 234, 242, 265, 310, 601, or 0 West to Wanhua or Lungshan Temple.
Tea time in Maokong
Enjoy the great view of Taipei from high up the mountain in Maokong while sipping a cup of Chinese tea.
There are many traditional teahouses here, and some actually own the tea farms in the area.
Maokong becomes alive at night and during the weekends, as ppl in the city like to get out to enjoy the fresh air in the countryside. There are walking trails in the area.
The Maokong Cable Car was opened in 2007. It is much easier to get to Maokung as it's directly connected with the MRT network. There is additional info on how to get there on the website below.
When I went there in early 2003, I had to get off at Taipei Zoo Station, then took minibus #10. And you could tell the driver to let you off anywhere you like on the mountain.
I went to the night club the...
I went to the night club the name is 'KISS'.
It located inside the gorgeous hotel.(Sorry I forgot the name!)
The facilities are pretty good.
It consists of 2 floor and not only have a big dance floor also have enough space for bar.
Taiwanise dance very enthusiastic !!
You can absolutery enjoy dancing with them !!
Now - this took me quite by suprise... there are TONS and TONS of scooters all around Taipei. Large super bikes are quite rare to find but this handy lil vehicle can be seen zipping around every corner and even on the walking path. Hence pedestrians, be warned. :)
The taiwanese "mala" (spicy) sausages are simply out of this world, it's even better with some drizzle of honey. You can get it ready to eat on street vendors for NT30 each.
For those who want to bring home these sausages, I've been recommended the sealed pack and the brand by Black Bridge Food.
