As with many accomodations in Taiwan, this building was once a residential house but turned into a resort. The room we were given is big and really has a sea view. In fact on a good day you can even see its famous Sanxiantai (Terrace of the 3 Immortals) in the distance. Rooms are clean and breakfast, which is mostly porridge and some pastry, is good. An adjacent restaurant serves some good food such as fried noodles or the traditional stewed meat. The only weird thing I find is that in the bathroom there is a power socket right underneath the shower. Anyway in conclusion a really nice and cosy place, and I will definitely come back again if I visit northern Taitung again.
Feels very cosy.
This is a decent guesthouse run for Taiwanese tourists. Their english is limited but the facility and the tour itself is a pretty good deal. For 2800 NT per person (x2 people in my case) you get:
2 nights acommodation. (our room was 2 double beds with skinny blankets and fluffy pillows.)
Pick up from bus/train station in Taidong city and a transfer to the ferry station.
A ferry ticket to Green Island.
A scooter rental.
A person who will guide you to the guesthouse from the ferry. (you follow on your scooter)
A guided snorkle tour-- on a rope with lifejackets. Rope up! LOL! Includes the wetsuit, mask, and lifejacket.
Coupons for a BBQ store for a free supper the first night.
Coupons for a Taiwanese-style breakfast store for 2 mornings.
my wife did the arrangements in Chinese but if you have a friend or an agent who can speak
and check out their website:
The guide we got, Andy Guo, spoke English quite well, but you cant count on him being the guy who picks up the phone.
Its a no-brainer! Check it out!
