In the traveller/backpacker area

There are a large number of traveller-oriented guesthouses on Soi 1 between Pamaphrao Road and Naresuan Road, opposite the western end of the Chao Phrom Market. I stayed here for a couple of nights and had a nice, clean double bed room for 350B which includes a hot water shower and ceiling fan. Other rooms have a/c and cost around 500-600B, while single rooms with fan and cold showers start from around 200B. It has a traveller/backpacker vibe where you get to chat with other people plus they also serve food and the staff are nice and friendly.

P.U. Inn

There are a couple of very affordable backpackers place situated side by side along this guesthouse. This place was the first I walked into and I took a peek into the room and find them very clean and also very affordable. I was travelling alone at that time and wanted to opt for a much cheaper option and so I went to another instead.

Clean and nice

PU Inn has an easy-to-find location, centered and comfortable (more than Baan Lotus, imho). It's quite basic, but clean and staff is really charming.
We're arrived at 10 pm, but managed to get a triple AC room for 600 Baht. One day there was no water at the morning, but as I said about it, they fixed it quickly.
Food is good and portions are huge! Prices are moderate, about 70 baht for dish and 30 for drink.
Nearby you can rent a bycicle for 30-50 Baht.

Unique Quality: Good location
Friendly staff
Tasty food

Q: What motivate you to visit Ayutthaya? "right again, what motivate you to visit Ayutthaya? Push factors from inside you or pull factors from the destination?"

aberacadabra profile photo

A: "Can't think of any push factors. I suppose if you've been to Angkor prior to Ayuthaya, you might be slightly underwhelmed."
