Bumrungrad Hospital
by jake5148
If you get sick or hurt in any way while in Bangkok the one place I would recommend bar none is Bumrungrad. This hospital is top notch, they have the latest equipment, and probably the best doctors in town. Lots of foreigners go there from Africa and the middle east in what the call Medical Tourism. The staff is very helpful and professional and The service is fast, you can call in the morning and be at your appointment at noon. As a hospital it's probably better and nicer than most hospitals in the USA or anywhere else for that matter, the doctors are good but I still wouldnt have heart surgery there.

Massage
by xaver
After a full day of walking around temples taking your shoes on and off, then walking to another temple and then to the chinese area and then to a market, the only fondest memory you can ask for is a very good massage!Make sure to book it in your hotel or to take information about where to find a good one, when you get back from the excursions!
Erawan Shrine
by Restless-in-kl
Walked past Erawan Shrine in mid May and was glad to see that the shrine has been repaired after someone destroyed it a few months ago.
This shrine is the most popular in Bangkok city center and anytime during the day, you'll see people paying their respect and giving prayer offerings.
This shot was taken on the 1st day the shrine was reopened to the public. It's located in front of Grand Hyatt hotel and Intercontinental hotel
sarongs available
by richiecdisc
You have to dress appropriately when visting temples and the Grand Palace to show proper respect. They are nice enough to provide a sarong for free if you happen to be walking around in shorts and a tank top. You'll soon discover they are perhaps even better for the hot climate than shorts are.
