Good, comfortable and in the center

Nice Hotel, in one of the best areas of Bangkok, Sukomvit Road. its one of the Central areas and close to lots of the tourist places. Few minuts from Siam Square and close to most places. You have the upper train (the station that is by the hotel is Nana Station), busses, taxi's and ofcours the took took.
Around 40 US$, depends on the time of the year and the how long you stay (they will low the price if you'll stay for a long time)

How is the Ambassador Hotel?

by aversonne

I will be travelling to bangkok in december with my hubby; booked our accommodation at the Ambassador hotel upon recommendation by a friend. However, now i am having second thoughts. Can anyone share some feedback on how the hotel is? in terms of location, security, furnishings etc?

Please don;t book it. Its the worst hotel Ive been to. The price looks very attractive but you wil lnotbe able to sit inthe rooms. Smells awful. Beds and pillow covers look like they have not been changed for ages. The bathroom fittings are so old that you can wake up the neighbours witht he creaking sound.

It used to be one of the best hotels before but now its old and there have been no renovations.

The breakfast however was much better than we anticipated after the bad night. We checked out the very next day.

Simply look out for another. If you want try the Asia Bangkok which is ok. Not the best but atleast they have clean rooms and beds. Price is ok too.

I believe your seconds thoughts about the Ambassador are well founded. It really has gone downhill over the years.

You can read recent guest raves/rants from people who have stayed at the Ambassador on asia-hotels.com

On the site, you can also sort by 'hood, price, and rating.

If ya got the baht, I can highly recommend the President Solitaire straight up Soi 11 from the Ambassador.
