The hotel's location is GREAT if shopping is your main reason to go to Bangkok. It's smack in the middle of malls and a short distance to the BTS rail station. The room furnishings' good, the breakfast buffet selection has a wide variety, and the place has its own pool, gym and sauna. Moreover, the hotel has its own website where guests can reserve directly and get a prompt confirmation. I would certainly recommend this to others.
The only drawback is their main resto (see photo) on the ground floor is quite small for breakfast that the hotel apportions a third of the lobby area plus another resto on the second floor to accommodate excess diners.
Directions: Taxi drivers know this place pretty well so just giving the name is enough.
We' stayed at Arnoma for about 10 to 11 days. That was Great. There staff is very cooperative, room and bath room facilities are execelent. Breakfast is superb.
Definately we''l recommend this hotel to other due to its LOCATION first
and due to all the above mentioned reasons.
Unique Quality: 1. LOCATION - It have the best location in the shopping district on its one side we'll find BIG C onthe other there is Gaysorn plaza 10 minutes wlk to BTS, in its front u'll find central world and zen, Isten
2. Staff - Smiling all the time
3. Food - good taste and huge choice
4. Pool - clean and free for all guest staying at hotel
5. Security - in room and outside as well

Directions: We were surprised that all of the driver of bangkok knows Arnoma very well there is no need to describe even then if u want
U can say
Go to
Centrel world or Big C
Arnoma is b/w Big C and Gaysorn and in front of Central world
WE STAYED AT THE ARNOMA FOR THREE NIGHTS AND I HAVE TO SAY THAT WE FOUND THE HOTEL A VERY NICE FRIENDLY AND CENTRAL PLACE TO STAY DURING OUR TIME IN BANGKOK.
CHECK-IN WAS FAST AND POLITE THEN IT WAS OFF TO SEE WHAT OUR ROOM WAS LIKE.
WE FOUND THE ROOM LARGE AND CLEAN AND FOUND THE BATHROOM LIKEWISE.
THE HOTEL HAS A POOL BUT IT CAN GET QUITE SHADED AND THERE IS NOT A LOT OF ROOM IF A LOT OF PEOPLE WANT TO USE IT BUT THAT SAID IT DOES THE JOB AND COOLS YOU DOWN AFTER A HOT DAY ON THE STREETS. THE HOTEL HAS A NICE BAR WITH QUICK SERVICE AND FRIENDLY BAR STAFF, WE FOUND IT A GOOD PLACE TO HAVE A QUICK DRINK AFTER A DAY SIGHT SEEING OR BEFORE YOU GO OUT IN THE EVENING.
AND WHEN YOU ARE GOING OUT FOR THE NIGHT THE HOTEL STAFF ARE VERY QUICK AT GETTING YOU A TAXI TO WISK YOU OFF TO WHERE EVER YOU WANT TO GO.
BREAKFAST AT THE HOTEL IS GOOD BUT GO EARLY AS THERE IS NOT MANY TABLES AND IT FILLS QUICKLY.
ALL IN ALL WE FOUND THE ARNOMA A VERY CENTRAL PLACE TO SEE THE SIGHTS OF BANGKOK AND BEING A SHORT DISTANCE FROM THE AIRPORT WE FOUND THAT A PLUS AS WELL.
FOR SHOPPING YOU ARE JUST ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE WORLD TRADE CENTRE WHERE THERE ARE LOADS OF SHOPS PLUS A MACDONALDS IF YOU FANCY A TASTE OF HOME !!
SO FOR A CENTRAL COMFORTABLE FRIENDLY CLEAN HOTEL THE ARNOMA IS HARD TO BEAT.
Unique Quality: THE ARNOMA HAS A LOT OF QUALITIES LIKE FRIENDLY STAFF ITS CENTRAL LOCATION TO SHOPS AND THE EXPRESS WAY. PLUS NOT BEING FAR FROM THE AIRPORT.
AND ITS ROOMS ARE CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE.
Directions: BESIDE BIG C AND IN FRONT OF WORLD TRADE CENTRE.
One thing i could remember in Arnoma Hotel that you find such comfort even for a 2 day stay even it is in the middle of such a very busy commercial place, say, gay streets full of tourists, wow, it's amazing to see them all! It's location is where you can find all you need to look for, from shopping up to exploring around the beauty of Bangkok.
Unique Quality: Thai massage is such a nice one to start with Arnoma's services. And it's not as luxurious as other hotels would be but if you find such comfortable and affordable accomodation, then you got it. and rest assured that they would attend to your needs. And earn friends from their friendly staff and i think for such many guests around, you could also earn more friends out of them. So, try to find out!
Directions: i will look for a map for you coz, honestly i could not remember it much. I only remember it is in front of the World Trade Center of Bangkok, Thailand.
Arnoma Hotel :The hotel is right in the middle of the city. Very convenient.
Bangkok Palace hotel : It is away from the centre but looks nice.
Grand Diamond Pratunam hotel Bangkok - Convenient, acceptable.
Pratuanam City Inn : Lousy

As far as the hotel itself is concerned, I would rate Arnoma as a good 3-star hotel that may seem average on most aspects, given that the relatively small rooms are standard types you would normally see in other properties. However, the warmth of its personnel stands out as well as management's emphasis on the safety and security of its guests. Renovations are underway but nothing that would create major disturbance, while the sumptuous breakfast buffet is a real steal given its good spread and variety. On the debit side, check-in tends to be slow due to the high occupancy rate of the same and the in-room safe is primitive. However, the lobby is large and very welcoming especially after a long day of sightseeing and shopping.
Dining options are everywhere - be it cheap or expensive. A supermarket and food court sit right beside the building, while the private entrance to the EGV multiplex is in front of the lobby if you want to catch a movie.
All things considered, I would rate this hotel as one of the safest places to stay in Bangkok if you're on a mid-range budget and want to be close to just about everything. This is especially recommended for families (not so much for those with babies and toddlers) and independent travelers who are out to maximize their time in the city.
Unique Quality: Serious shoppers and first-time visitors to Bangkok will find Arnoma to be one of the best deals available in the Land of Smiles. Location-wise, it is sandwiched by Big C, Gaysorn Plaza and Narayana Phand; a 5-minute walk to Pratunam, Platinum Mall and Central Chitlom; a 10-minute walk to Siam Centre, Siam Paragon and Siam Square; and being close to the skytrain station at Chitlom, MBK is just 2 stops away, while Chatuchak Weekend Market is a pleasant 12-15 minute-ride. Sukhumvit, Silom and connections to the subway are easily accessible as well.
I've recently stayed at the Arnoma for the second time and enjoyed it even more the second time round - because I got upgraded to a deluxe room! The room was right at the corner and on a mid level floor so i had a great view of the main road. Unfortunately, Central World Plaza is currently under construction so the view wasn't fantastic. But the room was great!
This hotel also has a great location. Central World Plaza is just across the road with Zen (local department store) and Isetan. The renovation will be completed in May 2006 but the shops are still open. Right next door there's a shopping centre with Boots, Watsons, Xeact (men's and women's clothing), Dollhouse (women's shoes and bags), an area on the ground floor for a foot massage... and a HUGE supermarket called "Big C". Also next door is Gaysorn Plaza where you can find all your brand name stores. About a 10 minute walk away is Central at Chidlom - my favourite local department store. 7 floors of shopping and plenty of great food without ever having to leave air-con comfort. Try the Food Loft on the top floor and Greyhound Cafe. Platinum Fashion Mall, a new wholesale shopping centre, is about 10 mins walk away but I didn't get a chance to check it out. My favourite kind of shopping - night markets! And by mid-afternoon, stalls would start setting up along the streets right outside the hotel... perfect for a nice stroll right after a heavy seafood dinner. Can you tell I'm a shopaholic? ;)
As mentioned, check in service was a bit slow... but I shouldn't complain too much since they upgraded me :) Breakfast was decent, but don't go too late as they start clearing the food pretty early. Pretty much the same food served for both mornings. Friendly staff - one of the door men was really friendly and always struck up a conversation whenever he saw me.
All in all a place that is very good value for money.
The Arnoma Hotel is located just 5 minutes walk from Chitlom BTS station and directly across the Central World Plaza. I would recommend this superior tourist class hotel for its excellent location, spacious rooms and sumptous buffet breakfast spread.
Unique Quality: Its prime location near to Chitlom BTS station makes it very convenient for the tourist. You can do your shopping and then deposit your bags at the hotel, have a dip in the pool before heading out again.
Directions: Take the BTS train to Chitlom station and follow the directions towards the Central World Plaza on the overhead bridge.
This hotel offer perfect place for shopping, it's in front world trade center with extra large dpt store and 1 minutes to Gaysorn plaza one the most exclusive center. I have an excellent service troughrout the hotel. The room are not large and don't offer windows with panoramic view, the bathroom is small too. The pool is half open air, the price about 60 USD is good.
Unique Quality: Great location for shopping, good service
Arnoma Hotel is in the center of Bangkok Shops
hi my boyfriend and i are staying in this hotel in the end of july for 4 nights can someone please tell me what its like and what the area is like. also what the shopping is like. thanks
Excellent location..with all the major shopping centres are around that
area and within few minutes walk.
Hi -
haven't tried the hotel, but the location is great! Right opposite the huge Central World Plaza mall and next to the Big C hypermarket (good for cheap stuff). Nearby is the upmarket and newly opened Siam Paragon mall.
Don't forget to drop by the Erawan Shrine nearby.
The Skytrain is pretty handy too...
Cheers,
Jeremy
Arnoma's a good hotel in a great location.
You shouldn't be disappointed.
Be sure to head up to the Big C's 4th floor foodcourt.
I love the tomyam soup from the last stall before you head to the rest rooms.
There's a photo in the "Cheap Eats" link on my homepage.
Hi there! The Arnoma is perfect for shopping. You are basically in the center of it all! I'm here for a couple of weeks and i pass by the Arnoma almost every day. The skytrain station Chitlom is a minute's walk away and as everyone says, you've got major shopping all within walking distance from you and only a stop or 2 away from the other shopping malls like Paragon at Siam Station and MBK at National Stadium Station.
Don't know the decor inside but location wise, excellent!
best regards,
pat
