This hotel is the third tallest in the world, after the Grand Hyatt of Shangai and the Burj Al Arab in Dubaï. Reception is on 18's floor. My room was with a small window and really nice bathroom, with separate bath and shower. I have good food on the coffee shop.
    Large pool .

In Pratunam, great view from the room

The room here is spacious but don't expect much on the interior design.Good service, very clean rooms with five star amenities, coffee and tea maker, bathrobes with slippers etc. The bathroom was really nice, with modern showers and it was big The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast buffet is not bad too.

But the best thing of the hotel is its location, downstairs is the Pratunam Market and Nearby in the Pantip Plaza. Walking towards the Nearest BTS Skytrain in Ratchathewi is 15 minutes however there is a hourly free shuttle provided by the hotel.

Observation Deck on 77th floor & Sky Walk, The Roof Top Bar & Music Lounge on 83rd floor,Bangkok “Sky Restaurant” on 76th & 78th floors. Highest International buffet breakfast in Bangkok, which is serving a large variety of European, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Muslim and Thai food.

The Baiyoke Sky Hotel Bangkok; rising 88-storeys above Bangkok’s skyline, is Thailand’s tallest and Bangkok’s most scenic hotel and the third-tallest all-hotel structure in the world, with 673 guest rooms. The hotel building is 309 meters tall or about the height of 182 people standing on the top of each other (total 88 floors). There are 2,060 steps from the bottom to the top. It takes over one hour to reach the top.The hotel is strategically located in the heart of downtown Bangkok, surrounded by bustling markets and various entertainment attractions. While enjoying the spectacular view of the colorful city, Bangkok from the artistically built hotel or haggling around in the famous Pratunam Area, there is also easy access to many shopping paradises in Bangkok. The Central World Plaza Bangkok, Peninsula Plaza Bangkok, Gaysorn Plaza Bangkok, Sogo Department Store, Siam Square and Siam Paragon are only within a few walking minutes from the hotel. Sky Train stations are also reachable within walking distance from hotel and will provide easy & fast access to other part of Bangkok even up to the Weekend (JJ) market, Bangkok. Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport is 25 km far from the hotel, 30 minutes drive via express way

  • I stayed here last year and I loved everything about the hotel. Very close to shopping, buffet breakfast was superb, nice and clean facilities including the pool, sauna and the gym. I even had a very relaxing massage in the spa. Upon arrival, I was shocked (in a negative way) because I did not expect that the hotel would be literally in the middle of a busy shopping district. This turned me off initially. I got very scared that I booked the "wrong" hotel. But as soon as I stepped into my room, I forgot about the mess downstairs. The room is huge even for 2 people, and is very clean. The bathroom is also very spacious with a shower cubicle and a bath tub (though I think the tub is relatively tiny as compared to the rest of the room). What I liked the best is the view from my window. It was breath-taking.

The staff are very polite and would always greet you with a smile. I would not hesitate to go back to this hotel on my next trip to Bangkok. Everything about it was spot on. This hotel is one of the reasons why I love this city so much.

Being Bangkok's tallest hotel sure has its pluses. Up on the 82nd floor is an observatory wherein you can see most, if not the entire city. Go up there on your first day. It's surely a nice way to start your vacation.

Breakfast would be at the 78th floor, if I remembered it correctly. I didn't mind that I had to go up that high each day. I actually looked forward to it every morning because of the great view from up there.

Wonderful - you can have a look on the traffic, illuminated buildings - wow good experience.

Try out the bar at 78th floor (think so), no need of alhocol to spin your head, it spins automatically.

Baiyoke Sky is a 3 star hotel and the tallest hotel in Bangkok, the reason why it is very popular to tourists / travellers. We stayed at their Skyzone Junior Suite Room during our recent stay in Bangkok but to my disappointment, their junior suite room was more of a standard room with 14 inches tv, bad signal of cable channels, poor lightinng a a standard looking bed and matress. We could have stayed in a 4 star hotel offering the smae rate.

The only good point staying in Baiyoke Sky is the location (right on the foot of Pratunam wholesale area) plus the fact you can have a good view of the city.

We tried couple of times their sky shop restaurant. The food that they serve are really great and with big serving.

Personally , i wouldnt stay in their skyzone or spacezone rooms which are more expensive than the lower floor rooms. You will still get the same view at their viewing area if you want to get a good shot of the city.

The lobby is always crowded with guests and non guests of the hotel.

Price per night at their Junior Suite Skyzone room is about 120USD per night

Baiyoke Skytower is the tallest building in Bangkok and you will probably see it at least once towering over the skyline. This is why a lot of people will stay at Baiyoke and honestly the same reason I did. It is really not worth the price in the end.

The bedroom and facilities were fairly standard, no better than the usual 1500baht room in most Bangkok hotels. The price I paid though was 3000baht per night which was far too expensive considering. The restaurants are mediocre and the bar on the top floor was terrible it was like a space theme it was laughable.

The only thing worth going to this hotel is for the view which is really quite amazing day or night. There is also a decent buffet in the restaurant for 400baht each so call in get a buffet meal and go check out the view cause theres no point in staying here.

  • The Baiyoke Sky Hotel is one of the highest hotels in the world, and the resturant I think is on the 78 floor. I did 3 trips to Bangkok before I even new that there was the resturant and revolving lookout platform at the very top. With every other visit,it is one of the 1st things we do on arriving in Bangkok. It is well worth 2 trips up to the top..One in daylight, and one at night. The views are spectacular. Cost is 200 baht, but then you get a free drink to the value of 200baht in the topfloor pub.

The website of the hotel is on any of the "hotel' search pages.

    Enjoy

  • Living in this hotel was one hell of an experience. We stayed in the space zone and had our room at the 72nd floor of the hotel. This was one huge room with an electronic safe, two single beds and a huge bathroom with a bath tub, dryer and a shower booth.

The room had huge glass windows and view from the room of the streets below was out of this world. The hotel in itself is quite an attraction. The rooftop bar at the 83rd floor and the revolving deck on the 84th floor are interesting and fun.

The service and facilities of the hotel are great. We ate at the coffee shop and the food was very nice. The breakfast is also a huge and eclectic spread. The drinks at the rooftop bar were also good, although the live band was slightly loud and cheap for my taste. The view from the rooftop bar in the night is spectacular.

The hotel is a shopping complex, hence other than evenings, the corridors are quite crowded.

We had a complimentary foot massage since we were staying in the space zone. The massage was absolutely wonderful and although it was free the masseurs did not rush up on things and gave us the most relaxing massage ever. The spa is open till midnight so after shopping for the entire day a massage can be easily scheduled.

Between the two baiyokes a market is set up from 4 in the evening till 11 in the night and you can shop for quite some interesting stuff from there.
