Baiyoke Sky Hotel (222 Rajprarop Road Rajhevee ): Average, but near Pratunam Market    Check Rates

  • The room here is spacious but don't expect much on the interior design.Good service, very clean rooms with five star amenities, coffee and tea maker, bathrobes with slippers etc. The bathroom was really nice, with modern showers and it was big The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast buffet is not bad too.

But the best thing of the hotel is its location, downstairs is the Pratunam Market and Nearby in the Pantip Plaza. Walking towards the Nearest BTS Skytrain in Ratchathewi is 15 minutes however there is a hourly free shuttle provided by the hotel.

Observation Deck on 77th floor & Sky Walk, The Roof Top Bar & Music Lounge on 83rd floor,Bangkok “Sky Restaurant” on 76th & 78th floors. Highest International buffet breakfast in Bangkok, which is serving a large variety of European, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Muslim and Thai food.

The Baiyoke Sky Hotel Bangkok; rising 88-storeys above Bangkok’s skyline, is Thailand’s tallest and Bangkok’s most scenic hotel and the third-tallest all-hotel structure in the world, with 673 guest rooms. The hotel building is 309 meters tall or about the height of 182 people standing on the top of each other (total 88 floors). There are 2,060 steps from the bottom to the top. It takes over one hour to reach the top.The hotel is strategically located in the heart of downtown Bangkok, surrounded by bustling markets and various entertainment attractions. While enjoying the spectacular view of the colorful city, Bangkok from the artistically built hotel or haggling around in the famous Pratunam Area, there is also easy access to many shopping paradises in Bangkok. The Central World Plaza Bangkok, Peninsula Plaza Bangkok, Gaysorn Plaza Bangkok, Sogo Department Store, Siam Square and Siam Paragon are only within a few walking minutes from the hotel. Sky Train stations are also reachable within walking distance from hotel and will provide easy & fast access to other part of Bangkok even up to the Weekend (JJ) market, Bangkok. Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport is 25 km far from the hotel, 30 minutes drive via express way

Baiyoke Sky Hotel (222 Rajprarop Road Rajhevee ): Skyzone Baiyoke Sky Hotel    Check Rates
  • Tip Rating:

  • Baiyoke Sky is a 3 star hotel and the tallest hotel in Bangkok, the reason why it is very popular to tourists / travellers. We stayed at their Skyzone Junior Suite Room during our recent stay in Bangkok but to my disappointment, their junior suite room was more of a standard room with 14 inches tv, bad signal of cable channels, poor lightinng a a standard looking bed and matress. We could have stayed in a 4 star hotel offering the smae rate.

The only good point staying in Baiyoke Sky is the location (right on the foot of Pratunam wholesale area) plus the fact you can have a good view of the city.

We tried couple of times their sky shop restaurant. The food that they serve are really great and with big serving.

Personally , i wouldnt stay in their skyzone or spacezone rooms which are more expensive than the lower floor rooms. You will still get the same view at their viewing area if you want to get a good shot of the city.

The lobby is always crowded with guests and non guests of the hotel.

Price per night at their Junior Suite Skyzone room is about 120USD per night

Baiyoke Sky Hotel (222 Rajprarop Road Rajhevee ): Other than the novelty value it's ****    Check Rates
  • Tip Rating:

  • Baiyoke Skytower is the tallest building in Bangkok and you will probably see it at least once towering over the skyline. This is why a lot of people will stay at Baiyoke and honestly the same reason I did. It is really not worth the price in the end.

The bedroom and facilities were fairly standard, no better than the usual 1500baht room in most Bangkok hotels. The price I paid though was 3000baht per night which was far too expensive considering. The restaurants are mediocre and the bar on the top floor was terrible it was like a space theme it was laughable.

The only thing worth going to this hotel is for the view which is really quite amazing day or night. There is also a decent buffet in the restaurant for 400baht each so call in get a buffet meal and go check out the view cause theres no point in staying here.

Baiyoke Sky Hotel (222 Rajprarop Road Rajhevee ): Greatest View in Bangkok    Check Rates
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • The Baiyoke Sky Hotel is one of the highest hotels in the world, and the resturant I think is on the 78 floor. I did 3 trips to Bangkok before I even new that there was the resturant and revolving lookout platform at the very top. With every other visit,it is one of the 1st things we do on arriving in Bangkok. It is well worth 2 trips up to the top..One in daylight, and one at night. The views are spectacular. Cost is 200 baht, but then you get a free drink to the value of 200baht in the topfloor pub.

The website of the hotel is on any of the "hotel' search pages.

    Enjoy

    Best view in town

Baiyoke Sky Hotel (222 Rajprarop Road Rajhevee ): Thailand's Tallest Tower    Check Rates
  • Satisfaction:
  • This hotel is a tourist attraction itself. Being Thailand’s Tallest Tower, it’s an experience to see Bangkok from the hotel’s Sky Walk Revolving Roof Deck on its 84th floor. The attendants are nice and accommodating. They offered our group for a room upgrade from a Superior Room to a Junior Suite for free. The rooms are clean and have a nice view. Breakfast is always a fun time since the hotel offered a wide variety of food (Indian, Japanese, Chinese, European and Western cuisine). The location is good also since it is in the downtown area of Partunam. Just a walk away from Central World plaza, Siam Square and the Mah Boon Krong Shopping Centre. Security is also good. Most of the time police officers are visible since there is a night and morning market across the hotel. Plus ther's no cockroaches here folks!

Baiyoke Sky Hotel (222 Rajprarop Road Rajhevee ): Baiyoke-Tallest but not the best...    Check Rates
  • Satisfaction:
  • Stay at hotel was OK only. Staff were all friendly and willing to help and talk to you about anything. Always greeted with smiles and warm welcomes. Hotel room was too big (if that is possible). It was more like an apartment, having a living, dining, bedroom, hallway, closet and bathroom....only thing missing I guess was the kitchen! Bathroom was the worst expereince ever...having a strong and very bad odour. The same odour that is noticeable along the river (basically a sewridge smell). Apart from that I guess everything was not too bad.....
    ***IMPORTANT***
If you are getting to this hotel by taxi....Avoid this one...Number B 9383....he agreed to go by the meter, but once destination was reached...another 100 Baht was added on.....
Every other taxi we took was fine fast and very cheap....!!!!

Nice view from the revolving tower at the top of Baiyoke Sky Hotel. Location is about 30 mins walk to Central Siam....if you enjoy walking, then its ok, otherwise try a different hotel. The route to get to central Siam is quite frustrating as there is no one straight road. You are able to see it from the hotel, which seems minutes away, but getting there, you have to walk basically one big round through lots and lots of people!!!

Baiyoke Sky Hotel (222 Rajprarop Road Rajhevee ): A stay at Baiyoke Sky    Check Rates

  • If I had to use one word to describe this hotel it would be "adequate". The hotel is located right next to the Prathnam Garmet markets which is probably the best place in Bangkok to look for clothing and shoes. In fact there is very little else in the area apart from clothing which is a bit of a downside if you are looking for other activities. When I checked into the hotel I was plesently surprised to be given an upgrade to a suite. The suite itself was very big (the bathroom I am sure is in a different time zone to the bedroom) but the quality of the fixtures was not as good as in other Bangkok hotels such as Grand President or the Four Wings.

This hotel is the tallest in Thailand so you get a great view. The downside is that you seem to spend a lot of time in elevators. I was on the 32nd floor which meant to get to breakfast I had to take the elevator down to the lobby on the 18th floor, walk around to a different bank of elevators, take an elevator to the 77th floor and walk up to the 78th floor to eat. You have to repeat the sequence on the way back. To exit the hotel you have to take the elevator to the 18th floor, walk around to yet another set of elevators and travel down to the 1st floor which is where the hotel exit is.

The restaruants once again are adequate. Breakfast was ok but once again not in the class of the other two hotels mentioned above. The fittings, food and the service was only just average. The restaurant on the top floor was very noisy with diners competing against pin ball machines to have a conversation.

To get around from the hotel you need to take a taxi which are very cheap but the traffic in Bangkok is awful. I prefer to take the skytrain whenever I can but you need to get a cab to the skytrain from this hotel.

Internet access was disapointing. The hotel charge 10 baht per minute for internet from its business centre so a better option is to head around the corner to the Four Seasons where it is 50 baht per hour for ADSL.

Good views from the higher floors, pool is fairly small as is the fitness centre. If you are looking for a good base for shopping at the Prathnam Market this is a good option.

Baiyoke Sky Hotel (222 Rajprarop Road Rajhevee ): Sky high living    Check Rates
  • Satisfaction:
  • Living in this hotel was one hell of an experience. We stayed in the space zone and had our room at the 72nd floor of the hotel. This was one huge room with an electronic safe, two single beds and a huge bathroom with a bath tub, dryer and a shower booth.

The room had huge glass windows and view from the room of the streets below was out of this world. The hotel in itself is quite an attraction. The rooftop bar at the 83rd floor and the revolving deck on the 84th floor are interesting and fun.

The service and facilities of the hotel are great. We ate at the coffee shop and the food was very nice. The breakfast is also a huge and eclectic spread. The drinks at the rooftop bar were also good, although the live band was slightly loud and cheap for my taste. The view from the rooftop bar in the night is spectacular.

The hotel is a shopping complex, hence other than evenings, the corridors are quite crowded.

We had a complimentary foot massage since we were staying in the space zone. The massage was absolutely wonderful and although it was free the masseurs did not rush up on things and gave us the most relaxing massage ever. The spa is open till midnight so after shopping for the entire day a massage can be easily scheduled.

Between the two baiyokes a market is set up from 4 in the evening till 11 in the night and you can shop for quite some interesting stuff from there.
