More about Centre Point Sukhumvit Thong Lo

Ayuthaya

by j-san about Phaesri Thong Guesthouse

This is where we had breakfast. It consisted of a plate of fresh fruit, toast, eggs, fried tomatoes and tea or coffee, all while enjoying the cool breeze from the river and the sound of birds.

Budget Apartment for Monthly Stays

by alvis about MSI Tower

Not a bad place a couple of minutes walk from the Thong Lo BTS skytrain station.
Cost around 5000 baht a month or 7000 baht if you stay for less than 6 months. I stayed for 3 months and paid £300 which is quite a bargain.

Decent studio with walk in closet, balcony, fridge, phone, air conditioning and decent bathroom. A bit dingey but what can you expect at this price.

Also room service is real cheap every morning i got chicken and basil with rice and fried egg for 35 baht, £0.50. Shared facilities are:
Internet cafe, laundry service, small store, and hair dressers all on downstairs floor.

Buri Guesthouse Thong Lo

by alvis about Buri

Buri B&B's best feature is probably its location only a stones throw away from Thong Lo BTS skytrain station. It is also very reasonably priced costing between 350 baht to 500 baht a night (I paid 400 baht per night & 50 baht extra for my girlfriend to stay.)

The rooms are serviced every morning if you want, there is air conditioning, and a fridge filled with drinks (drinks are same price of the 7/11 so don't worry about high prices when taking them.) There is also a tv with some cable channels that can be linked to portable VCD players if you have 1.

The rooms look great made in a traditional thai style and are real clean as is the entire guesthouse. Another great feature of this guesthouse

They have shared bathrooms on each floor which were extremely clean and provide you with hair dryer, shampoo, soap, cold or hot drinking water etc. Shared between 8 rooms so noone ever gets in your way.

Other shared facilities include a bookshop, internet cafe washing machines everything a traveller really needs. Breakfast of tea / coffee and toast / butter / jam self service on each floor. No restaurant but I used local delivery services to my door like McDonalds, pizza express, seefah.

All this for 400 baht (6 pound sterling) was well worth it. Book before to make sure theres space and it can be quite hard to find the reception.

Only downside was the cable did'nt have ESPN so i had no football or sports. Real close to the BTS skytrain. Close to good night-life street food and shopping malls.

Utopia Resort

by Tink_in_Transit about Koh Phangan, Thailand

I highly recommend Utopia! (This luxury Phangan Utopia Estate hillside development is located at Thong Lang view point on the stunning North West Coast of Koh Phangan Island; situated on a gently sloping hillside with magnificent views over the bays of Chaloklum village and Mae Haad Beach. This quiet residential site is perfect for those seeking peace and tranquility as the land has a short private drive way keeping the site away from the main road whilst still being situated close to Chaloklum village and Mae Haad Beach at the North Coast of Koh Phangan Island.)

The staff is extremely accomodating and friendly as soon as we arrived they were waiting with a smile to take our bags to our rooms. The service at the restaurant was always excellent and the food was great! When they took me to my room I was blown away. It was gorgeous! My balcony overlooked the ocean and the beautiful hillside. The view was breathtaking. Our room had a double bed with comfortable pillows, clean linnens, a tv and dvd player with a selection of new movies to choose from at reception. The decor was modern, clean and beautiful as well. I was in heaven!

It is so quiet at Utopia, the only sounds to be heard are those of nature. I fell in love with this place. Ammenities include pool, internet, rooms have a/c, laundry services for a small fee, mopeds to rent and many more. It is definitely a place to come to relax and enjoy life

Missing at Ao Thong Beach

by kimeyer

Does anyone knows anything about the thai family that owns Al Thong Beach Bungalows(behind Bang Niang). The Bungalows are directly at the beach. They got some lovely children and are a very friendly, charming family.

Thankful for any information,

Kirsten

Ao Thong Beach and Khao Lak

by kimeyer

I´m searching for Klaus Fastenmeier (german divemaster) and the staff of coral grand in Khao Lak. Does anyone knows anything about them? I´ve heard that the staff of Sea Dragon Khao Lak including divemaster Jürgen from Austria is safe. Does anyone knows anything about the thai family that owns Al Thong Beach Bungalows(behind Bang Niang). The Bungalows are directly at the beach.

Thankful for any information,

Kirsten

I am very thankful for that. The most sad thing for me is that I don´t know the family name of the thai family that owns Ao Thong Beach. I hope that they are still alive. Thank you.
