 | Chateau de Bangkok: Service Apartment in Ploenchit Area

Chateau de Bangkok is a pretty good solution for a larger group or family to stay in a nice facility in a good location at a good price. Our family of 5 stayed in the two bedroom apartment at a nightly price of around 125 US (this includes tax and service). Nice workout facilities with dumbells, weight machine, cardio machines and benches. Also includes steam room and sauna. Roof top pool and hot tub are small but nice. As these serviced apartments are mostly used by working people from the EU, America or Asia, there seems to be little regular use of pool and workout facilities. The area is very convenient to Ploenchit BTS - only a few blocks walk away. Across from the Conrad and All Seasons Plaza mall. Nice kitchen facility with plateware, glasses, refrigerator, stove, etc. Satellite TV, hardwood floors and in hotel restaurant. Curries and More is a good Thai restaurant very close to the hotel. A lot of street food close by near the hotel and around the BTS Ploenchit station. If you want to pig out western style go to the Conrad Lunch ($15 US) Buffet. Incredible..... The clincher here is that you do not have to secure two rooms to keep a group of 5 or 6 people. It is a good value in a good area. I recommend it highly.
Large comfortable accomodations with kitchen, hardwood floors, jacuzzi tubs and satellite tv. Found it quiet and conveniently located. Theme: HotelPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageDirections: Ploenchit BTS

 | Chateau de Bangkok: A Serviced Apartment!

I've always wanted to stay in a serviced apartment, and I got to stay in one during a business trip in Bangkok. Frankly, my colleagues preferred a different hotel, but I had no complaints. This is probably the largest room I've been booked in. I loved the walk-in closets! If you come to Bangkok to shop, this may be a great place to be in because it has a huge closet, lots of storage for shopping bags. Plus, it's near the Suan Lum Night Market! You also get a big bed, a nice sitting area; there's a small dining area that sits two, and a working table, too. The TV's nice and large. Plus, the bathroom's OK. I've seen better, but I love this bathroom's size. It even has a jacuzzi (but I never tried it, sorry!). They also have a full working kitchen with utensils, pots, pans, and plates. When I was there, they hosted a party for the residents/guests of the Chateau. It was alright. They hosted it at the 12F, where the pool is located. Great view, I must say. Breakfast is a dud. I've tasted better, plus they don't have much variety.
Location, location, location. It's a few hundred meters from the MRT. You can hire a scooter to get you there or you can walk---which is what I did. It's on a safe neighborhood, lots of embassies around, and I'd even walk late at night alone.
