If you're on a tight budget you might consider this hotel. Although the hotel is a bit dated and need of a renovation the rooms are clean and quiet. It is reasonably handy (by taxi) to the Pratunam markets, Platinum Malls etc. It has a swimming pool and internet services. Just don't expect luxury here.

I was very satisfied with my stay at the Classic Place Hotel in Bangkok. The room I had was airy and refreshingly light. The decor was very plain and the room had clearly been recently refurbished. The restaurant served an impressive buffet breakfast that was included in the room rate. The hotel's location was very handy to transport connections. I would happily stay there again. For the price, it is a good quality option.
The hotel has all the usual add-ons. There's a smallish swimming pool, but it's perfectly adequate to flop into after a hot day working or sightseeing in steamy old Bangkok. The rooms are particularly pleasant for a hotel in this grade.
