Luxury hotel near Bangkok Airport

If you want a luxury hotel convenient for Bangkok Airport the Dusit Princess Srinakarin is a good choice. It was called the Royal Pricness Srinakarin Hotel Bangkok until recently when it became the Dusit Princess Srinakarin Hotel. Very nice accommodation and the quality you would expect from a Dusit Hotel.

Good looking hotel East of the city centre

Stayed here for a week while I was looking for an apartment when I moved to Bangkok.
It is away from the city, about an hour East towards the new Suvanabhumi airport; so probably you don't want to stay here if you want to be downtown.
But like myself if you had business to attend in the Bangna/Samutprakarn then this hotel is highly recommended.

Rooms are clean, amenities are really good, there are 3 restaurants in the hotel all of good quality. The hotel is next to the Seacon Square shopping mall, which until very recently is the largest in the country, so I would just walk over and have dinner there (this is Bangkok so you get top quality meal for $5).

The hotel is close to the Bangna expressway so if you want to get into the city take a cab to the "On-Nut" sky train (monorail) station. The cab will cost $2.50 (including tip) and the train ride will cost $1; it will take about 35-40 minutes.

Compared to the West, this hotel is a steal - it has 4 star rating and charges $60-$80 per night depending on the time of the year.

Friendly staff with excellent facilities

The room is very spacious and clean with a 2-seater couch, 1 metre bath tub, hairdryer, dressing table, safe, mini-bar and a king-sized bed. But please do not watch the movies as each movie will cost you 450 baht. The hotel has four choice restaurants and the quality of the food is good and prices are reasonable for the standard. It also has a gym and business centre. I booked the room at USD60 that do not include breakfast. This price is rare as the normal rate is about USD110. You can keep a lookout on the website for this price as they normally offered it about 2- 3 days before the beginning of your stay.

Unique Quality: The staff is very friendly and is always smiling. They will recommend you the price that you should pay for taxis from the hotel to any popular location. This is helpful so that you will know if the taxi drivers go for a huge detour. The breakfast spread is very good as it gives you a variety of western and local cuisine. It will cost you about Baht 350. On sundays, there are activities and programs planned out for kids. Beside the hotel, there is a shopping mall named 'Secon Square'. There are many stalls at the top level selling local products from handicrafts to souvenirs. Prices are quite reasonable and you can bargain with the stall holders. There is a "playland" for kids in the mall. It is also beside Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center (BITEC) and is good for businesses trip too.
