If you're staying in Bangkok more than two weeks, you will save money -- often a lot of money -- by booking a furnished apartment, rather than a conventional hotel. Such apartments in Thailand are known as "serviced apartments".
There are many available, in all price ranges, in every part of the city.
Below are a few web sites to help you get started. More can be found with Google, of course. But I want to make this important point: any apartments advertised on the Internet will be twice the normal price. You would get far better value for your rent money, by hiring a Thai guide and walking around the neighborhood making inquiries.
The first step is to determine your desired location, then start your search. With Bangkok's horrendous traffic jams, the best locations are always near a station of the sky train or subway. Other locations with good potential are near the piers of the river ferries or the canal boats.
