What is the hotel name in Sukhumvit - the one near...
The last time I went to BKK, a couple of months ago, I came across a small little hotel at the corner of one of the odd numbered sois (between 5 - 9, I think)on Sukhumvit Road. Not sure which soi but it is right at the corner, exacly infront of the steps to the Nana BTS. It was running a promotion back then, as it had just undergone a renovation. It's pretty small hotel from the look of it. I went in and had a look at the room, tiny but very clean and pretty well made up. Thought I might want to book a room there the next time I come. I even took a card from the hotel which has since gone missing. Can't figure out the name and am wondering if anybody has any clue as to which hotel I am referring to. Any help on this will do. Thanks in advance.

Thai House Inn, in the alley between Soi 5 and 7.
Grand Business Inn
World Inn
City Lodge.
Lots of good cheap hotels in this area, book one night with another place and find this particular hotel for the following day.

Good idea SirHalberd....Better to just book a room for the first night and then you can check out later for the hotel you looking for...

Accomodation Guidance Sukhumvit area
I am Looking for budget accomodation in Soi's of Sukhumvit. Around 600 Bahts
for one night, in First Week of oct 2010. I am Single. Any Decent
Recommendation will be highly appreciated.

Business Inn on Sukhumvit Soi 11/1 has rooms for 600 baht. This place is on a side soi between Soi 11 and Sukhumvit Road. Look for Swiss Park Hotel and the Narry Inn. Also on same soi is President Inn and Bangkok Inn at slightly higher prices.

If you arrive during day hours you can check this Happy Inn Hotel out on Sukhumvit Soi 4. Located between Nana Hotel and Ibis, same side of road as Nana. Rooms are bigger and better than Business Inn. No website for Happy Inn, one of the "Orchid group" hotels next door to it for around 700b.
Soi One Guest House has cheap rooms and dorms. Close to Bumungrad Hospital.

The grand Business Inn on soi 11 for 1500 bahts is really nice, but the business inn I remember was kind of a dump. Suk 11 is a hostel that is very clean and well kept. For single travel on a budget, I think it is the best bet.only no guest allowed in rooms. Cheers Tommy x

Hotel near MRT or BTS station
Hi all, I'm visiting Bangkok with 2 friends in August for 4 days. Is there any budget hotel recommended that's adjacent to a MRT or BTS station? Thanks for the help!

i stayed at the bangkok sahara inn at sukhumvit last december. very, very clean room & toilet and just two minutes walk to the bts station and close by 7-eleven, foodland and etc. paid about THB1100/night. do visit my bangkok page for more info.

when i stayed at elizabeth hotel, i see mrt lines around when i looked out of the hotel window. train stations must be near from this hotel. hotel is so cheap too, not more than 1000 baht per night.

You don't mention what your budget is, my budget hotel and your budget hotel may be far apart.
Google up the Suk 11 Hostel, located on Sukhumvit Soi 11. Not far from a Skytrain stop. Various type accomodations at different prices.
Also, you can check out the Honey Hotel, Sukhumvit Soi 19, not too far from another Skytrain stop. Various priced rooms, in a more "bar free" area.

A very good site if you know where in Bangkok you want to stay is:

They have a detailed map of bangkok with all the hotels in a specific area.
regardless of if you want to pay 400 or 4000 Baht per night you can usually find a hotel in the location you want to stay.

Hi We regularly stay at the Asia Hotel which has direct enty onto the Skytrain Station. Photos on my Bangkok page.

Grand Business Inn - Sukhumvit,
Palazzo Hotel - Ratchadapisek,
Manhattan Hotel - Sukhumvit,
Classic Place Hotel - Asoke area.
Those hotels are 3 stars with budget hotels in a short distance to BTS or MRT. You can check their rates including of some promotions of each hotel from many sites agents. I think they can have you the good rate for stay in this season.
