    Grand Mercure Fortune, Bangkok, Thailand

    by

Its a big and nice hotel, clean and well equipped in rooms. Even its not located at downtown, very easy to reach with subway to main spots of the city.

As its next to shopping malls, several options for shopping till late hours.

I like the breakfast and dinner open buffets, lots of seafood and fresh fruits, well airconditioned and sorted.

"Grand Mercure Fortune Bangkok" is a modern high-rise hotel with "400" spacious and well-appointed rooms and suites, including the 'Club Prestige' floors and a Presidential suite.

Conveniently located at the junction of Ratchadaphisek, Rama 9 and Asoke-Sukhumvit Road, the hotel is attached to "Fortune Town I.T. Mall and Shopping Complex", with over 1,000 retail outlets.

Well advised to stay for your business and leisure trips ... :)

    A Good Hotel!

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel. The rooms are clean and service is good. The front desk staff are nice. The location is good, next to many shopping centers like Letus and .... It's very near to metro station.
The breakfast is acceptable. I recommend this hotel to every one who asks me about bangkok hotels.

Loads of it for backpackers to biz travellers

    by

Fortune Hotel is a bit out of town, not a really convenient place to stay unless u dun mind taking taxis or wait for the hotel's shuttle bus. No nite life like in Sumhumvit or Patpong. There's lotsa good hotels at the tourist belts such as Sumhumvit road (3 -5 stars hotels), Khaosan Road(backpackers joints) or Silom (business districts).

Oakwood residence is a service apartment which is located at the upmarket area of Silom. More suitable for long-term business travellers as it's cheaper to rent by monthly basis.

Unique Quality: Fortune Hotel is a 3 star hotel equipped with facilities to suit business travellers and tourists. Swimming pool, cafe, restaurants, hot shower, TV, hairdryer, etc... It's reasonably priced but not situated on a strategic location.

Oakwood meanwhile has all the comfort for the first class traveller. Elegant interior design & equipped with resort style facilities

Directions: On the way to the airport.

We sometimes put our visiting vendors at this hotel. It is decent and clean, but perhaps a bit old. It best features are that it's conveniently located next to a subway station (Phraram 9) and that it is part of an IT-focused shopping mall. There are also many restaurants, amongst the hotel and mall. Another mall, the Esplande, and a department store (Robinsons) are a short walk away.
