Grand Watergate, Petchburi Rd
I need advise on the following:
a) Comments on Grand Watergate Hotel located at central on Petchburi Road. Is it safe for family to stay? How are the surroundings i.e. near to shopping, food, travel agencies, taxi stands, BTS etc? Heard it is a new hotel.
b) Where to get the best rate for this hotel.
c) What are the differences between superior/ deluxe and mini suites? Can four persons fit into a mini suite? Are all the rooms with windows? I prefer not to stay in rooms without windows.
d)How is the breakfast? Many selection or just american type?
e) Any other comments that you think we should know. This is a family trip with one elderly, so preferably not to walk a long distance.

Why don't you go the to the Grand Watergate Hotel website and read about the amenities, types of rooms and what is in the area of the hotel?

The pricing for this hotel is in the "super deluxe" category. Decent hotels with air, private toilet/shower, cable TV etc. can be had for less than half this price.
If you have four people you could get two rooms in a cheaper hotel.
I suspect that they would most likely have windows, I only find rooms without windows (including air, HW, TV, private toilet, etc.) starting around 600 baht!
If you want a hotel closer to the nightlife check out the Landmark, J W Marriott, Amari Boulevard and Sheraton Grande - all not far from the Nana Skytrain stop on Sukhumvit Road.
Breakfast is one of the cheapest meals you can buy in Bangkok. In simple restaurants the price for breakfast is usually less than $2 U.S.

dear members.....
we (me+my friend) will be in BKK from 18th to 21st august. so need to book the hotel for 3 nights,
-PINNACLE SUKHUMVIT INN, SUKHUMIT SOI 3/1...@750 THB without break fast per night per room.
-----------------OR----------------
-THE UNICO HOTEL (former Leela Inn), SUKHUMVIT SOI 3...@950 THB with break fast per night per room.

Both have very bad reputation.
Pls search again, if you willing to expand your area than sukhumvit soi 3 or pay abit more you'll find a lot better deal with a lot better service.

I know it's not in the Sukhumvit district but try the Grand Watergate Hotel. They're currently having specials. We booked our room for 3 nights in August for a grand total of $48 usd. Not too shabby in my opinion. http://www.grandwatergatehotel.com/

have you tried looking up WENDY HOUSE? its about 1000. its very near mbk and siam. the rooms are good and its handy for everything
