Bangkok cheap but Hip hostel in the center of BKK
Firstly, I'd recommend you to stay in Silom area as it's the best location with 1,000 shops in walking distance. For shopping in Silom area, you can go to Soi La Lai Sub which has hundreds brand name and fake brand name shops there. You can enter from Silom Soi 3 next to Bangkok Bank Head office. And you can also go to MBK mall and Siam Square area for more high street fashion style by BTS to Siam Station. At that time, I stayed at a really nice hostel on Silom Soi 3, HQ hostel. Really nice place for cheap but hip place to stay.

Hip Boutique Hostel
I ran to the newly-opened HQ Hostel at Silom Soi 3. The place is too cool for a hostel definition. It's bright, modern and definitely hip. I have a duvet, clean sheet and very comfortable bed. It's a unique hostel that I 've never experienced before. The staffs are friendly and very helpful to me. Most importantly, it's very cheap. I LOVE IT. I miss HQ and hope to go back very soon
Unique Quality: Very convenient locations as it's located in between 2 skytrain stations. Foods are everywhere. Street are crowded and safe. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Complimentary pants are also given.
