    • I would not recommend this hotel. It was booked by our travel agent, as it was located near all the shopping areas, which was our only reason for visiting Bangkok after visiting Phuket. The hotel is in dire need of a refurbishment. The passages were noisy, pillows were like slabs of bricks and the breakfast was cooked about 2 days before serving. I do not have ONE good comment for this hotel. I will NOT stay there again.

    • Indra Regent is famous for its location. Located in the heart of Pratunam shopping center, and just a few walks from the big malls and restaurants.

    The facade may look a litte bit rundown but the interiors and rooms are just fine.

    Spacious lobby, nice restaurants, medium size pool and of course it is adjacent to the indra regent shooping center.

    Would definitely recommend this hotel for those who plan to come and visit Bangkok just make sure you have your booking atleast 1 month before the inended travel coz its usually fully book.

    This is a great place to stay if you want somewhere that really is somewhere to sleep and is central.
    Sure its older, but I have found it clean, very friendly and courteous staff, good restaurants/bars, a very good Thai Cultural night experiance, and the location is great.

    Its also well within walking distance of Pantzip Plaza, the air-rail system (I forget its name, sorry) and other hotels to link up with fellow travelers/friends.the shopping area that is in the same buiilding housaes a postoffice, department store etc as well as many tailors and other stalls, even a food hall of sorts.

    I do recomend it, after all, do we go on holiday to sit in a hotel room and drool/admire it? I think not, or at least I don't.

    Central, Cultural show, Pool, wonferful massage service (I do recomend this) and reasonably priced

    • Perfect location for shopping, it's in the midlle of Pratunam district the best place for textiles.
    It's very close to the shopping centers district (less than 1 km).

    The rooms are quite big, but they have a kind of moisture smell all around.
    Good service and nice bar where you can take good sandwiches or coffe.
    Breakfast is ok, the swimming pool is not very invitant.
    Nevere take taxes in front of the facade but walk along the road and take a running one .

    The Indra Regent was a great place to stay due to its wonderfull location, right in the shopping district. Everything was great, they looked after all our needs and nothing was to much trouble.
    Please reed my other topic on this Hotel for more information.

    The hotel has everything you will need, swimming pool, sauna, spa, great resturants and bar and coffe lounge, the rooms where clean and large and had good views of the city.

    We spent five nights in total at the Indra Regent Hotel (4 nights at once then a single night a few days later). It is a very nice hotel and the staff were all very friendly. One annoying thing though is the tour desk lady downstairs who seemed to call us every single morning at 7 am whether we had a tour or not...something we didn't enjoy at all...

    The rooms are big and comfortable, the restaurants are nice and the shopping nearby and in the Indra Regent building is great!

    I thought I'd try somewhere other than Sukhumvit to stay on this trip (Dec 2006) and I found the Indra Regent had rooms for 28 pounds a night through BA Holidays - a very good deal for peak season. The hotel is right in the middle of the Pratunam garment district - the ground floor of the hotel itself is a shopping centre mostly dealing in cheap clothes. It's some way to the nearest Skytrain stop, but other than that the location of the hotel is pretty good - just a short walk away from the huge Central World Mall and the Big C hypermarket.

    The hotel itself is a nice 3-star place - a comfortable room (slight traffic noise but not enough to keep me awake), BBC World on the TV - free tea and coffee as well, but on the negative side there was a stupidly overpriced minibar (head to the nearby 7-11 for snacks and drinks). A good place to stay, as long as the price is right - note that as with other Bangkok hotels it's usually cheaper to use an agent than to book direct.

    A good value hotel. Certainly not the fanciest but then you pay for what you get. I've been to Bangkok a couple of times and found this location to be great if you like just watching people go about their daily business. They have a great street level lounge/bar from which you can just sit for hours and watch the world go by. The hotel is situated ideally for cheap shopping. The streetside markets and the Pratunam markets are just amazing. Don't miss taking a trip up to the observation deck of the Baiyoke Skytower which is located very close by.

    Overall I found the staff to be very friendly, the breakfast quite good and the room comfortable. The pool area (pictured) is not too bad. From a value for money viewpoint, this hotel is a real winner!

    • The hotel had undergone a refurbishment from our last visit and the improvements were noticeable.
    Excellent locations and fantastic staff. Very helpful when dealing with injuries-

    Pool wasn't anything special but it was relaxing after a day out in bangkok. Dance show and dinner was enjoyable. Breakfast was an absolute delight. The staff even made a special party cake for both times we have had a birthday at this hotel. Little touches like that make a holiday.
    Very easy to get around from.

    • While not the best hotel in Bangkok, the location and the value for money is good. Would recommend to someone like me who loves to shop in cheap places like the Pratunam markets.

    Great location just in front of the Pratunam markets. Easy walk of other locations like the Pantip Plaza.
