In the middle of the adult playground

The Nana Hotel is situated right across the street from the Nana Plaza and near the Sky Train. Ideal location if you are looking to be right in the middle of the action in Nana Plaza or the surrounding soi's off of Sukhumvit Road. This is a mid budget hotel for mainly older men who want to take advantage of the freelancers and go go bars in the area. I am not judging, that's just the way it is. The breakfast buffet is adequite at most, but hey it's free with your hotel stay. The rooms are decent. Not a bad deal for somebody on a mid-range budget. Very safe and discreet. Up to you, what happen's in Thailand stays in Thailand.

The infamous Nana

A friend of mine was booked in this hotel, so I decided to stay here as well. As the difference of price betwen a normal room and a suite was not big, I decided to book a suite as, anyway I was staying just 2 days.
The suite room rate was 80 euro. The room was really big and had a spacious shower room and a jacuzzi.
The staff of the hotel is totally unfriendly and kind of rude, the room was not as cleaned as you expect when you pay that price in Thailand.
All in all, I do not think I'll stay here again.

Unique Quality: Check out at 2 pm.

First Choice Hotel in Bangkok

I have stayed at the Nana Hotel very many times over the last 20 years. I originally went there when I was single but it has remained our first choice hotel in Bangkok now the I am married with two children.

Excellent value for money. The rooms are a good size and the suites on the 5th floor ideal if you have children. Ideally located for shopping, nightlife, metro and access to the new airport. Restuarant is open 24 hours, and is highly recommended. Buffet breakfast is very good and included in room rate. Surprisingly, given that there is a nightclub in the hotel, noise does not tend to be a problem. Hotel also has a good size swimming pool. I have never had cause to complain about the service, nor had any security worries.

I used to be able to just turn up and get a room, but alas the hotel has become so popular that booking in advance has become essential.

Avoid Amari Boulevard Hotel

The security at night at this hotel is dreadful. The area outside at night is a virtual war zone. You can be drugged, mugged or beaten up in the near vicinity to this hotel. The night porters let all kinds of criminals (especially lady boys) enter the hotel and follow guests up to the room especially if they are drunk or drugged. This is one of the most dangerous hotels in Asia! The night porters are crooks and the foreign managers ignore the real dangers faced by tourists.

Nana Hotel

Nana Hotel is located at Sukhuvit Soi 4, right beside the famous Nana Entertainment Plaza. It is a large hotel with average rooms, a swimming pool, bar, and a very good nightclub. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are are rather old and worn, especially the bathrooms, but they are comfortable. Cost is 1000 Bht (US$25) per night and well worth it for the location.

I stayed this hotel during both of by visits to Bangkok.

More about Nana Hotel

Nana Hotel

by Neon_Ninja about Nana Hotel

Prices range from 1000-1500 Thai Baht which is about $25 to $40 USD. (Presently the exchange rate is 40Baht to the dollar). Next to NEP (Nana Entertainment Plaza), one of the greatest spots for nightlife! Not as cheap as some of those backpacker haunts on Khao San Road. But I would rather have clean sheets and air conditioning! Facilities include: travel office, pool, bar, restaurant (24hr Room svc.), 24hr coffee shop.

In Bangkok I have stayed in The NANA hotel, centre of Bangkok.
In Phuket I can recommend a smaller but good hotel, Orchid residence.

The Park Hotel in Bangok was well maintained, reasonably priced, clean, and right next to my favorite beer garden. However, they try to charge you for bringing a lady back to your room. The Dynasty, Nana Hotel, and Nana City Inn aren't quite as nice but they are cheaper and you won't get hasseled bringing a lady up to your room. In Pattya, I stay at the Diamond Hotel.
$30. - $40. for Bangkok hotels. $20. - $25. for Pattaya hotel in November. See above.

Can Nana Hotel be recommended for a 3 day stay in Bangkok? Any good or bad experiences?

Re: Nana Hotel

by SirHalberd

If you are a guy alone then it might be okay, close to the famous Nana Entertainment Center. Lots of stray women around there in the evening. If you are husband and wife with kid(s) I would stay elsewhere!

On several msg bds. I have read both good and other, not so good, comments! Mostly the complaints were on noise and crowded streets and proximity to the Nana Entertainment Complex. The location is good, easy access to the Skytrain, bars, restaurants, malls and travel agents for tours. Like any hotel overseas, use the security box for your valuables!

Not for couples or family. If you are someone who is looking for companion and some fun, then this is the place for you.

Tell me what your budget, where you like to go and I can recommend some better place for you.

Re: Nana Hotel

The most important things are that the hotel is clean, safe and quiet. My budget is about 50$ per night. I would like to stay in this area because of skytrain, restaurants and shopping facilities. Any recommendation wold be great.

If you are traveling alone then the Nana will do, unless you are a bible salesman or missionary! If you really only want a hotel that is close to the Skytrain then you can also check out the Asia Hotel which is right on a Skytrain stop. The Asia is in a more bar free area. (Located at the Ratchathewee station.)

From the Asia it is an easy walk to New Phetchaburi Road where you will find lots of street vendors, restaurants, malls and Seven Eleven type stores.
