Nana Hotel
by Neon_Ninja about Nana Hotel
Prices range from 1000-1500 Thai Baht which is about $25 to $40 USD. (Presently the exchange rate is 40Baht to the dollar). Next to NEP (Nana Entertainment Plaza), one of the greatest spots for nightlife! Not as cheap as some of those backpacker haunts on Khao San Road. But I would rather have clean sheets and air conditioning! Facilities include: travel office, pool, bar, restaurant (24hr Room svc.), 24hr coffee shop.

In Bangkok I have stayed in The NANA hotel, centre of Bangkok.
In Phuket I can recommend a smaller but good hotel, Orchid residence.

The Park Hotel in Bangok was well maintained, reasonably priced, clean, and right next to my favorite beer garden. However, they try to charge you for bringing a lady back to your room. The Dynasty, Nana Hotel, and Nana City Inn aren't quite as nice but they are cheaper and you won't get hasseled bringing a lady up to your room. In Pattya, I stay at the Diamond Hotel.
$30. - $40. for Bangkok hotels. $20. - $25. for Pattaya hotel in November. See above.

Can Nana Hotel be recommended for a 3 day stay in Bangkok? Any good or bad experiences?

If you are a guy alone then it might be okay, close to the famous Nana Entertainment Center. Lots of stray women around there in the evening. If you are husband and wife with kid(s) I would stay elsewhere!
On several msg bds. I have read both good and other, not so good, comments! Mostly the complaints were on noise and crowded streets and proximity to the Nana Entertainment Complex. The location is good, easy access to the Skytrain, bars, restaurants, malls and travel agents for tours. Like any hotel overseas, use the security box for your valuables!

Not for couples or family. If you are someone who is looking for companion and some fun, then this is the place for you.
Tell me what your budget, where you like to go and I can recommend some better place for you.

The most important things are that the hotel is clean, safe and quiet. My budget is about 50$ per night. I would like to stay in this area because of skytrain, restaurants and shopping facilities. Any recommendation wold be great.

If you are traveling alone then the Nana will do, unless you are a bible salesman or missionary! If you really only want a hotel that is close to the Skytrain then you can also check out the Asia Hotel which is right on a Skytrain stop. The Asia is in a more bar free area. (Located at the Ratchathewee station.)

From the Asia it is an easy walk to New Phetchaburi Road where you will find lots of street vendors, restaurants, malls and Seven Eleven type stores.
