Bangkok serviced apartments

OK, try the OMNI TOWER, sometimes hard to find but the best web site is AWD,Asia Web Direct or look under www.the-ascott.com
They have a variety of studios, 2-3 bedroom suites with kitchens. I have stayed there. The neighborhood is not the greatest, but once you get in the immediate area of the hotel it's OK. It's not bad, just some bars in the area at the head of the street. It is located at Soi Sukhumvit Rd and Soi 4. Soi 4 right at the intersection is where the bars are located but the hotel is way down the street and is safe with no worries. Security in the hotel and the rooms are clean and well furnished.
Once you get back to Sukhumvit Rd, the NANA BTS is right there and you are only 2-3 stops away from Siam Square and MBK shopping.

Unique Quality: Centrally located.

Great location, Good rooms

Omni Towers is a serviced apartment so don't expect a great room service. There is a cafe downstairs that delivers drinks etc though. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The studio may be a bit small, but enough for one person. But try a one bedroom apartment for 2-3 people and its perfect. A spacious living room and a bedroom are just right. Never had breakfast so can't comment on it. The pool on 8th floor is good in the eve. All rooms have a functional kitchen which is well equipped. Best part is location. One can walk to Nana Plaza, Central, MBK, Siam Square etc. Even by cab they are 35-45bhat away. Thats just close to 1-2kms. All in all, a great place to saty in Bangkok.

Affordable apartments

The apartment we stayed in had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge and kitchen. Not to mention two televisions, a microwave, toaster and coffee machine. It was very comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. Air-conditioned of course, with complementary breakfast. There is a small provisions shop in the lobby. They have a free tuk-tuk to Sukhumvit Road, though it stops operating at night. Most floors have good views of the surrounding area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The desk was still open at 4am when we arrived. Several months after our stay, they remembered us to our travelling companion when he made a return visit. We stayed there in the New Year and still received a complimentary room upgrade without us asking for one.
