5-Star Accommodation by the Chao Praya

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on November 29, 2003

This stay was my most recent & very much the 5-Star accommodation that you would expect. Service was excellent, too.....

Unique Quality: Great views from my room, high floors are the best (mine was 27 so try to get it around that level). Easily accessible by hotel ferry shuttle & skytrain to the best tourist areas.

Directions: Facing Chao Praya & opposite side of the river to Shangri-La

I stayed at the Peninsula Hotel. 5 star +++ - my room (which was not upgraded to a suite or anything) was bigger than my whole townhouse in the states. Extremely attentive staff, great views, fantastic breakfast buffet, and a ride from the airport in a limo for $85 US/night!

The PENINSULA HOTEL is a newly-built luxury hotel, located along the banks of the Chao Praya River. Yes, it's part of the world famous Peninsula Hotel chain (they have one in Los Angeles and another in Hongkong... among others). I haven't stayed here yet but the next time when I visit Bangkok, I'll try this hotel out.

Room rates start from US$85++ per room per night. You can surf to this website to enjoy discounted rates. http://www.asiatravel.com/thailand/peninsula/index.html Book a room at The Peninsula Hotel via AsiaTravel.com
