I stayed at D' Ma Pavillion couple of years back and it wasnt a nice experienced for me, my officemates and our clients.
Althoug the reservation was made and paid ahead of time still when we arrived we were informed by the front desk manager that they can only give us 1 room instead of 4 rooms that we booked.
We insisted that we have to get our room coz we already paid for it. Well, there was nothing we can do so we accepted his offer to stay in a presidential suite room which has 2 adjacent rooms and a living room. Me and my officemate ended up sleeping in the sofa.
Location wise, it may be close to pratunam area but its inside the small streets which make it look a little unsafe for female travellers.
Their food is not really good plus the serice and ambience. Their carpet stinks plus the fact they allow smoking on certain floors.
It's the only bad hotel experience i have in Bangkok. First the towel where of really poor quality, The pool is really small and my children play with the safe and he put a toy inside and the safe cannot be open, the staff say we have to wait 24 hours before to open it and was not kindly. The room are not bad and the bathroom is with separate bath and shower.

Lobby and restaraunt were very nice. Service was excellent. Rooms are in need of some attention. Carpets dirty and linen washed out and torn. Staff were very helpful in getting problems sorted out. This hotel, while only a block away from busy areas of Bangkok, is unknown to most of the taxi drivers we encountered and we had to show them maps. We were booked on a package and expected a 3 star - THis is not as good as other 3 star hotels we stayed in but was liveable.
The travelling agent recommanded this hotel This is a decent & quiet 3 stars hotel. The only noisy and busy time is during breakfast. The only restuarant within the hotel is packed with in-house guests during breakfast time. Guests go for breakfast as early as 7am. Location is a bit out of the way, but not a big problem since there are plenty of taxi around and taxi fare is not expensive. It is within walking distance (5-8 minutes) to Pratunam Market.
There is a 7-11 store across the hotel which make it very convenience. There are street food sellers near the hotel if you want to try something very local. Chinese medical hall, tailor, massage house, restuarants and fruits sellers can be found along the streets near the hotel as well.
Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure stay there.
We booked a backpacker trip and the hotel was chosen from the tour operater. We expected a small and crappy backpacker hotel and were surprised to see a rahter nice looking hotel. The location is not that great as you have to walk for about 30 minutes in order to get anywhere. Yet, the tower with the revolving restaurant is in about 10 minutes walk.
Well, staff was not that friendly and the breakfast buffet was kinda crappy..... but the rooms are great and you can get to the hotel in just 30 minutes from the airport.
althoughi it has a small lobby. but it is well lit and cozy with cream-colored marble throughout and delicate chandeliers hanging above the high ceiling. much much better than the asia hotel. and the hotel rate is almost the same!!!! and its about 5 minute-walk to the Pratunam Market an whole sale market where u can get appreals much cheaper than patpong. the bad part is that its not near the bts but the gd news is that they do given free shuttle bus from hotel to BTS station . the rooms are very clean , room looks NEW. MOST IMPORENTLY!!! no black outs, no driping of dirty water and radio switching on by itself. (look at my asia hotel tips and u will know why!!)
I think this is now called the Ramada D"MA Hotel, formerly just known as D"MA Pavilion Hotel. The rooms were good, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. I would stay here again.
Though it is a bit far by foot to many sights, taking a cab to the destinations would not cost a lot of money.
Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with a clean, large and spacious lobby.
It provides international standard facilicities and services, combined with unique Thai hospitality to ensure all of our guest will feel warm and at home during their stay. The hotel is closed to the Central Business District, shopping areas and within distance from the femous "Bangkok Night Life". It is also conveniently located near expressway to and from the airport and also easy access to your destinations by our Limousine Service, Bus, Taxi, Tuk-Tuk, BTS-Skytrain, and Train.
The hotel has alot of facilities and amenities for guests. The pool on the 8th floor provides great skyline view of Bangkok.
The Galleria Restaurant offers wide-ranging menu and great tasting food. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety for guests to choose from.
bought this hotel through zuji for S$66 per night during the promotion. walking to pratumum will be walking along a small lane for about 5-7mins, cross over overbridge, and walk for another 2-3 mins.
No worries on food, as there are quite a few restaurant that offers quite nice food. Thai food are really nice.
the rooms are quite big. good service. and there is a executive breakfast at level 36 or 26(cant remember). go for that.. no extra service cheap for that.
