Ramada Plaza Menam Riverside Bangkok

This is a top class Hotel with a mid range price. The staff were very friendly and always helpful (as is the normal practice for all Thais) Rooms are large (AUD$133.00 per room per night). The bathroom was also large with plenty of room to hang washing. Breakfast (included) has everything you could wish for and you have great views of the river at the same time. Like all good hotels, drink prices are "over the top" but food prices are reasonable.

We would be very happy to stay here again and would recommend it to all our friends

Unique Quality: The room we had has great views of the pool and the river. The hotel has a great free shuttle boat, with a Thai shaped roof which leaves the jetty at the Hotel every half hour for a trip to the Sky Rail station which will get you to mid town in 10 - 15 minutes.

The Menam Riverside is quite centrally located, easily accessible from the airport because of the new express way and not far from the shopping centers on Silom Road. It is directly at the river and there is transportation by the river to the Grand Palace and Wat Arun. You can also arrange for a khlong tour. The rooms are spacious and most offer a great view of the city.

Unique Quality: There is a really nice pool with a snack bar and palm trees. You can nearly forget that you are in a big city as it is very quiet. The service is friendly and the breakfast is good. Several restaurants offer thai, chinese, western and japanese cuisine, directly at the river there is a seafood BBQ with romantic views over the river.

I think i remember having paid 700 Baht per Person in a double.

Unique Quality: I guess it´s not for travellers on a shoestring, but still i believe compared to european standards it´s high quality for just little money. Clean rooms and bathrooms with a/c, a pool, and very handy a taxi shuttle boat to the River city and elsewhere in town.
