On arrival to the Tower I was escorted upstairs, offered a cold fresh squeezed orange juice and sumarily escorted to my room, overlooking the Chow-Pray river....wow!
My "Buttler " asked me if I needed help unpacking....when I told him I did not know...he offered to press my jacket...on the spot....and shinned my shoes....I figured it was time to tip the gentleman...he was offended and observed that it was his job.
I had a business meeting and my contact was late....the butler suggested that I go poolside and wait for him there When my contact arrived they informed me and put him in the lounge with some cold orange juice.....
The very best part, and this is worth the trip to Bangkok is the 6AM trip to Lumpini Park. Thousands of Thais doing Tai Chi, Ball room dancing, aerobics, running etc. Just join in ...they are delightfully welcoming.
Then as you get back in your van, a cold compress and the International Herald Tribune. Breakfast and cocktails in the evening included;....a dream
Great pool, shopping center next door , you dont even have to go outdoors....great antique shops in the center.
Long Boat stopping point just below hotel which is a great trip and a great bargain...just ask them for a tour of the Chow Prai River....
There is a buffet in the evening in the terrace. All the goodies that we westerners cant pick up on the street there, for the tasting....Great pool.... Leave a Comment
