Thailand and Indonesia in common
by ukirsari
Thailand and Indonesia (especially Bali island) are very common in views, temperature and nature condition. So, visit this country looks like going somewhere in my Indonesia, except the lingo. The most I like to see is about aerial views from the plane's window before landed at Don Muang airport. Seems so welcome and mirroring my country and Thailand have a good relationship since few centuries ago :) The beautiful scenery on board in my flight to Bangkok.
Tai Chi with Supol Lohachitkul
by balisunshine
Thailand is full of spiritualism
and philosophies of Buddhism.
If your heart is open,
you can sense the atmosphere
and allow the energy to enter within.
So I decided to take a course
with Supol Lohachitkul
who teaches classes of
Enlightened Awareness,
Tai Chi and Hatha Yoga.
This small framed man,
vibrates an enormous peace
and tranquility, much large than his size.
As he demonstrates the practice of Tai Chi,
he gracefully sashays across the floor
while smiling and focusing
on the gestures he makes
while letting go of all other thoughts
that have no use in that moment of Now.
For me,
it was a great way
to start my day.
Supol may be available for private classes,
or you may contact him to see
where he will be teaching.

by Audrey118
The Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara Kuan-Yin Performing a Water Miracle
The Bodhisttva Avalokitesvara is also honoured as Kuan-Yin, the preserver of the Buddha, is set in the crown above the deity's forehead. Upholding Buddhism means that justice is maintained. The deity conquers the malevolent forces that threaten humanity by performing a miracle which frightens away evil spirits.
Praying

Thai people are always keeping their faith even though there are lot's of expats living in their country and tourists. I can see in their eyes that they haven't change for centuries even for some reasons, teenagers are tend to part ways. They adapt western cultures but keeping the traditional behavior!

You have to buy a map in Bangkok. You find in the airport some free maps, the same in the hotels. Also in the streets of Bangkok have maps to see where you are.
