Clean and FUN Small Hotel...

This is a family run business that used to be the home of the owner ” The Colonel” when he was a young child, the property renovated and converted into this little business that you see today.

I totally enjoyed the atmosphere here and not only booked it for my initial arrival into Bangkok but I also booked four more nights here for my return to Bangkok six weeks later.

The available rooms range from single and twin fan rooms to simple Double Bed AC rooms. The fan rooms are basic with a night stand, a pair of lights and a screened window so if you like you can have the window open whenever you like.

The higher end AC rooms have private washrooms and showers .The lower end rooms share washroom facilities that are kept clean around the clock. The shared washrooms are multi stalled with multiple sinks and have enough segregated showers so it’s not too likely you’d ever have to wait long for your turn to clean up after a day in the hot city.

A simple breakfast is included in the rate and is served in a small dining area that is roofed but opens to the fresh air and singing birds that the little gardens around the property attract. Espresso and Late coffee is available for extra costs.

A small bar area is located around the Reception area and this was to be a place where we congregated with the owners and managers of the property at the end of our days exploring the city. The “Colonel” would keep a constant supply of ice water poured into my glass as we hung around swapping stories and cold beer flowed easily for those among us that enjoyed that.

A short three minute walk down the street takes you past a Buddhist Monastery and just around the corner you’ll find a 7/11 where you can buy soft drinks or bottled water or snacks or whatever you might need here.

Unique Quality: This is a CLEAN and mostly QUIET little guest house located in a QUIET neighborhood only about a fifteen minute walk to Kho San Road and more IMPORTANTLY.. only a ten minute walk to Pier Number 13 of the Chao Phraya River Express system.

Sam Sen Sam Place offers free wifi and has three computre terminals in the lobby...they do CHARGE though for Internet use in the lobby.
