Small plain as white wall with a bed

I did not stay here but a friend did and we hangout there the whole night so let me tell you what I saw.

Just as the Sawasdee Banglampoo Inn where we stayed, the Double room was small, virtually nothing on the white wall, the TV was turned off nothing ot watch I guess, smaller toilet than what we've got at Sawasdee Banglampoo.

Window view is virtually nothing. No elevator, so we have to go up the long stairs to the 4th floor.

On the positive side (someone funny), the fridge is huge - full size. No more.

Location again is great for people who loves Khaosan, stone-throw away from Sawasdee Banglampoo where we are and right in Khaosan.

Khao San Road Area

Great. I booked it on the internet while staying in Phuket. Took a flight and everything was arranged when I arrived. I prefer to book before going, but most of the times that isnt even necessary. Sawasdee hasa lot of Hostels in this Khao San Road Area so you can even look for one when you get there ..

Unique Quality: The Breakfast is OK. You won't miss the Friendly Thai Service here either. You can get a locker for free. You can book over the internet and they will process it right away. Nice place. I had to take a room with airconditioning cuz they were out of rooms with fan, that are considerably cheaper.

Sawasdee Bangkok Inn

I stayed here for three nights, just off the Kao San Road. It was set back a bit which made it quieter thatn the other places. The restaurant/bar downstairs was fine (although how many videos can you watch!) and the room was clean. I can't remember what it cost but I think it was about average for the area.

Budget Hotel

This hotel is a complete mess, the room was very dirty and the staff was unfriendly.
Around the hotel was lot of jokers trying to sell useless tickets to almoust everything in Bangkok.

Unique Quality: 90 THB for a room - do I have to say more?

by Glorija about Sawasdee Bangkok Inn

Located on Koh San Road and quite nice rooms with cable tv, hot water and towel ofcourse. It is just that a toilet and specially shower is a little small but meanwhile shower there is an adventure itself since there is no bath or nothing. Just water sprinkeling around ... They have a safety box and 24 hours service.

Backpacker Accommodation

by BluePinay

I'm coming over with my friends this September. I need help on cheap backpacker accommodations.

Appreciate all the help :-)

Re: Backpacker Accommodation

by dragonc

If you mean Bangkok then head for 1) Khao Sarn Road/Phra Arthit area on the river. Full of backpacker places. 2) Lots of cheap guesthouses in Soi Sribhumpen, opposite the Malaysia Hotel, which is in Soi Ngam Du Phli off Rama 4 Road.

Re: Backpacker Accommodation

Hello,

I have new brand to suggest you: this hotel is suitable for Backpacker same you and your friends. Name of hotel is Lub D which located Silom area, not far from Khaosan Road if you can go to nightlife. And the hotel is downtown, business center, shopping centers and nightlife Patpong, just a short walking distance away from Chong Non Si BTS Station.
