Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit

We have been there last December. Location is very great with the direct acces to BTS. We had a great view on the city in our very large room with nicely apointed bathroom.
Staff is very caring. Many services are available.
The only small disapointment was the size of the pool

But I will recommend this place.

A beautiful hotel , One of the Best locations in Busy Bangkok.
the sky train has a direct connection, very easy to get to anywhere in town.
I also loved the outfits that the hotel staff wear,I had one of them made for my wife from the same tailor, Moonriver by VJ who does all the hotel uniform, My wife loved it.

Unique Quality: Excellent value and very good service.

We used this hotel as a stopover whilst travelling to Europe. On arrival we were upgraded to a suite as a Starwood Preferred Guests. Our room was on the 33rd floor 3319 and was beautifully appointed with fabulous views of the city.

The suite was spacious with a king size bed, working desk, bedside tables with a small settee with everything you would expect from a Sheraton suite. The bathroom was enormous with lovely fluffy towels a huge bath and separate shower. Toiletries were generously supplied. To me, you cannot pass Sheraton Hotels in Asia.

Staff on all levels were friendly, helpful and polite. Concierge was also very knowledgeable and well informed.

The swimming pool area was delightful set amongst tropical lush gardens. It was a lovely way to relax without the hassle and noise of Bangkok street life. One almost felt you were in a secluded oasis in the middle of nowhere. Pool side service was also excellent.

We had the buffet lunch and the display of food was outstanding. We were entertaining business guests, so it was important to us the lunch be high-quality and superior, which Sheraton surpassed with first rate food and service.

We were picked up from the airport by a lovely air-conditioned Mercedes Benz and dropped off when departing.

I have given this hotel a five star rating for honouring the Sheraton loyalty programme and the excellent swimming pool and facilities which were on offer. We have stayed at numerous hotels in Bangkok and I rate this equally with the Marriott Spa Resort, both are exceptional hotels.

It is located in Sukhumuit close to the commercial and shopping districts of Bangkok and is ideally positioned to the sky train for easy public transport.

Out of the upmarket hotels in Bangkok, the Sheraton is one of the more expensive but in my opinion rightly so.

The staff, the facilities, the rooms and the food are all of what you would expect from an upmarket restaurant.

The have a great pool and it really is very easy to forget that you are in the heart of Bangkok.

Convenient location as well on Sukhumvit Road and right next to the Sky Train station - within a few short minutes you are in the upmarket shopping neighbourhood hosting malls such as Siam Paragon in Siam Square

The service is the Best.
Great breakfast buffet.
Convenient location next the skyrail, and local food annd shopping galore.
Stayed at Penisula and Mandarin Oriental hotel in Bangkok, the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit is much better choice for Your Money!!!
( P.S. : I try to only stay in 5 star hotels when I travel (less then 5 stars only when they are not avaiable for that particular locality). Thus my view of comparisons with only be limited.)

A 5 star hotel in Sukhumvit. Excellent service, and wonderful rooms. Starwood Preferred guests receive extra special treatment. The breakfast buffet is superb, and the pool and fitness center are a good way to help ward off jet lag.

Unique Quality: Wonderful pool to swim in, with food available. Butler service in the morning broght coffee and a cookie. Security is very good, and the staff is very well trained. Adjacent to the Skytrain for trips to the market.

Great location next to Asok Sky Train Station and close to junction to new Subway. (Sukhumvit Station)

Also just accross the road to Robinsons department store and Tops supermarket.
Plenty of shops and restaurants just next to the hotel along sukhumvit road.

Rooms are large with a walk in closet to store all your shopping (...and there will be lots of it!). Decor is stylish with lots of Thai silk in subtle tones. Good mix between traditional Thai style and western luxury.

Swimming pool is like at a beach resort. Although not really large, it is so well embedded in a tropical garden that you completely forget you're in a city as soon as you're on the pool deck.

Service is of course very polite, except for the pool restaurant breakfast where we felt like we did not exist for the staff.
Breakfast in the main dining offers great selection of western and asian food. The atmosphere is sometimes slightly rushed due to the limited capacity of the restaurant.

Overall, I'd certainly recommend the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit.
When booking, check different offers. The own website is not allways the cheapest. (Despite their low rate "guarantee", which of course, never really applies.)

Stayed here many many times on business before living in Bangkok. Service is superb, The resturants are not bad, but nothing outstanding. The nightclub Rivas can be good on Thur/Friday night, but seem to be more busy on Wed/Thursday night. Watch out for the pros that sit at the round bar, but otherwise, its a good place and you can comfortably take your friends, partner and business associates there.

Unique Quality: The swimming pool while not great for swimming exercise is a incredible little resort that makes you forget you are in the center of the city. It is worth staying in this hotel for the pool alone!
