Great location and value for money
The best thing about The St. James is it amazing Location. Being in Soi 26, Its far from the noises of sukhumvit, yet one can walk to the station, to The Emporio Mall and to Soi 11-12 for late night parties!
Me and my husband were on our wedding anniversary tour to Phuket and decided to take a 2 night stop at BKK. Our aim was to stay in sukhumvit so we can see BKK night life at its best and shop throughout the day.
St James was our perfect choice coz we didnt want anything flashy. We just needed a place with good clean rooms and good bathrooms and a place offering a filling breakfast and a nice bed to collapse into.
We checked into to St. James on 17th April, late Evening and were given a warm welcom by the Staff. I tell you, the welcome drink here is something you MUST, MUST, MUST have- Lesui juice or something...it was so refreshing and amazing, i requested the staff for the same every morning and evening :) and they made sure I had my drink and didnt even charge me anything for it.
The room was nice and spacious and the Aircon was great. The bathroom was compact and nice with all amenities required.
The breakfast was nice and had decent variety to suit all. It was more than enough for us to not need too much for lunch. Since we had just a day to shop and finish sightseeing, a good breakfast meant not wasting time on lunch. breakfast is served from 6:30 till 10:30, so we didnt have to rush for breakfast either.
In our 2 nights stay we could walk around and explore most of sukhumvit and didnt have to spend much on cabs.
St. James Hotel Rocks! Will definitely be back.
