Tut-tut
by hassan_abu
Riding the Tut-tut is the most unforgetable experience in Bangkok.
They are cheap, convenient and fast. They managege to snake in and out of the heavy Bankok traffic with no problems at all I am not actually the driver, I do not dare to try one of these things in a traffic like Bangkok ..
Cooking in Style!

Please check out the market and cooking class travelogues for more pictures -- what was nice was that the ingredients were pre-measured and laid out for us -- we also had both the regular view of the instructor's table but a wonderful overhead mirror. [Note: the 2 pictures show the ingredients for different dishes.] The cooking class at The Blue Elephant was a genuine highlight of my brief stay in Bangkok!

Go to the weekend market, if you are in Bangkok on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. What ever you do, do not miss this place, the skytrain will take you right there. There are over 10,000 yes 10,000 different stores here. These squirels are pets.
The Do's and Don'ts of Shoes

It is alright to wear shoes when you are walking around the grounds of a Buddhist temple, but not inside the chapel where the Buddha image is kept. Females should also ensure that their shoulders and legs are covered before they enter the temple. Please be respectful and do not wear shorts.
Packing List

A big one with plenty of space. Hiking Bangkok has such a diverse range and quality of shopping that it is better to leave your own stuff at home and to buy it here. There are Western shops where you can buy the expensive designer gear or plenty of stalls where good quality conterfeits are available.
