    Located in Banglampu area of Bangkok. Breakfast buffet was located at the open air courtyard with fish pond and plants. What a great way to start your day. Rooms are clean. I stayed at the building that has swimming pool. It seems to be newer and cleaner. The rooms in the reception building are a bit old. Receptionists are friendly.

    Very near to Khaosan Road. In the evening, there are plenty of local street food within walking distance. Don't miss out Wat Indraviharn nearby. It has a huge golden standing buddha.

    I stayed at the Trang Hotel for a few days with my wife in 2005. The rooms were not new of fancy, but clean. The breakfast was good, but not great. It was nice to have food to start the day though. I enjoyed the pool. It felt nice to cool off in the evening after being out in the humid, dirty air of Bangkok. I would reccomend this for any budget minded traveler.

  • I stayed 2 nights here so it was ok, but it is slightly out of the way, if you need to be in the city centre, otherwise it was fine but book on the net as it is cheaper, well 300 Baht cheaper... lol

    However do not expect the hotel to look like the picture on the net.

    The photographers in Asia should all get awards for bert picture... amazing, none of the places I stayed looked as good as the pictures.

    It has a pool, which is great after a day out in the town.

  • we got a pretty good deal through www.reliancetravel.com.. usd26 per nite with breakfast.. the hotel overall is pretty nice looking.. nice outdoor dining for breakfast.. nice pool.. the downside of this place is it is a bit old.. so u get a bit os the musty smell.. and though it is in khao san area, it is actually quite a walk to khao san road.. but then again, at that price for a decent hotel, it's good value..

    we loved the outdoor dining place.. it's a nice centre courtyard surrounded by trees and water features.. love it!
