    Situated in the Silom area very close to the Sri Mariamman Indian Temple, the Tower Inn is a better than average mid-price hotel. The rooms are very large with lots of room to spread out. In fact, the rooms are more like suites. At one end is a bed and at the other a large sofa. The rooms are quiet too which for me is an important factor when staying in Bangkok as I need that isolation from the busy streets below when I'm back in my room. This is due to the fact that most floors are high above the street, the rooms are quite well insulated for sound and the corridors run in a direction away from the Silom Road. My only complaint, and this applies to all hotels in this part of the world at this price range, is the absence of any non-smoking rooms. The rooms look fine but there is always that smell of stale smoke that gets into the furniture and upholstery. Perhaps one day the smoking culture in Asia will change but for the moment this is something that we have to put up with.

    At the time of writing the walk-in room rate is 2,000 Baht but a quick call or email to Asia Travel (www.asiatravel.com) will enable you to get a rate of 1,600 Baht.

    Facilities are pretty good. There is a coffee shop where the inclusive breakfast is served up until 10:00am. On the roof is a fairly decent sized swimming pool, a pool side bar and beer garden. This will appeal to Farangs but not Asians. The Thais shun the sun to keep their skin light and find it incredibly strange that people actually lie in it to get a darker complexion. The view of Bangkok from up there is quite good too. There is also a decently equipped fitness centre with running machines, weight machines and free weights.

    • The Tower Inn is reasonably close to the SkyTrain at Chong Nonsi and it is just a walk up Silom Road to Patpong for the night market and nightlife.
    The rooms are very large with a good sitting area and generous beds. However the access corridors are very shoddy.
    The reception areas were nice though as was the rooftop bar. Breakfast here was pretty good.

    Very spacious rooms with a good sized lounge area and almost a mini kitchinette with fridge, kettle and sink.

    • I found the Tower Inn to be simple but great for my needs. It is on Silom and close to many restaurants and the skytrain.

    The rooms are huge with a nice lounge area and large fridge.

    The best thing for me is the rooftop pool and bar where you can have a drink or a snack while looking over the city.

    • i took this hotel through http://www.bangkok.thaihoteldiscount.com/towerinn.html. reasonable price. room is spacious but bathroom is very small, though hairdryer provided. corridor a bit old. no views. breakfast so-so. though not far away from Patpong but u'll still need a taxi or a tuktuk. reception staff and captains are most helpful and nice!

    This was not a bad hotel to stay at, especially for the 1000 Baht/night price tag. I liked the rooms and also enjoyed the travel agency located in the lobby. Also, the complimentary breakfast was awesome!!! Not to mention the mini bar..... The staff was very helpful as was the bus boy..... I plan on staying here again but next time I'm going to try and take one of the travel agents that work in the lobby, home with me.

    Hotel que esta en Silom Road, por lo que queda muy centrico y se puede ir caminando al mercado nocturno a la zona comercial y bajar al rio y sus alrededores

    We stayed 3 nights in Tower Inn Hotel. It was being renovated when we stayed there in February 2006. The rooms are very spacious with fridge, satellite TV and also an L shaped sofa. Toilet was very clean. Overall, the room looks a bit old but the stay was comfortable. The kig sized bed was great. Spent one late night after coming back from Chatuchak and shopping at Siam Square at the roof top swimming pool and bar to redeem our complimentary coctail - magnificent view of Bangkok skyline!

    The hotel was quite near to Silom busy shopping complexes and convinient as it was near the MRT/LRT station.

    BTW booked the room via Directrooms.com and just love the service - have used them when travelling ever since.

    Friendly staff, convinience (shopping and public transportation), spacious room.
