Located in the a very central areas, 200 m. walking to the National Stadium BTS Station which has direct access linked into the famous MBK centre. Best loved shopping mall in Thailand. Also in close proximity are Siam Square, Siam Center and Siam Paragon.
Though it was widely recommended by Lonely Planet, the rooms are not really up to standards as compared to other guesthouses within the same street. For a lower price, I managed to stay at another guesthouse but with better stay experience. I think the price guests are paying for is mainly due to the high recommendation by the travel guide.
The twin room which is stayed in on the third storey are relatively basic and has no windows with an outside view. Rooms are with A/C, TV, Hot Shower, minifridge, hot kettle and BF included.
Rates: 900THB per Double room / 1000 per Twin room per night (low season)
I had a wonderful stay at Wendy House.
The rooms are clean and the receptionist are very friendly and they speak English.
Do bring extra cash to pay for the room upon checkin even though you may have given your credit card no. to guarantee the reservation.
For 700THB per room per night, they even provide you with continental breakfast (toast, fruits and coffee or tea).
Do book early as the rooms are limited.
Taxi fare from airport (include 2 tolls) is (20THB+40THB+50THB Airport Surcharge+150THB)=260THB
Unique Quality: I simply love the location as it is just opposite MBK and 1 min walk to National Stadium BTS. If you are carrying to many shopping bags just head back to Wendy Guest House to deposit them or have a shower or drink.
They have a cold water dispenser, mini library and paid internet access.

hi bangkok VT'ers............
would u plz inform me abt d'nearest budget hotel 2 bangkok convention center @ central world n how 2 get BCC from d'recommended hotel
thx alot in advance..........
Google "White Lodge Bangkok", Wendy House Bangkok" and Reno Hotel Bangkok". All three are very close to the National Stadium BTS skytrain.
You can either hop on the BTS, head 1 stop to Siam, or simply walk the entire distance to Centralworld.
btw, which one is ur recommended the most of those three?
I live here, so don't use hotels. I can't really only comment on locations.
If you do a search, you can find reviews of them.
